Let’s hope they can make up for it in the second half.

We’re watching the Commanders and the Bears. Commanders doing well so far.
Did you see the finish?????? Wow that was a heart break for Caleb Williams and the Bears!

I have two jobs. I am a PM in construction, but my main career path is managing fantasy football teams. I actually gross a few hundred dollars a year doing this. But I can assure you you can do both, go to church and be a avid football fan if you are a evangelical in that most evangelical churches, at least the larger ones, have 3 or 4 services....so here on the west coast one can navigate the 10:00 am games with the 1:00 pm games. The hard part is is sneaking in the BBQ. # go Rams.
Speaking of BBQ, we found a new place called Off the Skewer that we ordered our Gameday food from today. Their BBQ sauce and steak is to die for.

This year is my first experience with Fantasy Football. We have a league at work. It’s been fun.

I grew up in Northern California, which is Raiders country. The team has experienced its share of ups and downs and has moved three times. But through the years I have remained a loyal fan. Today, the Raiders lost to the Chiefs, so reading this thread feels like reopening an old wound. At times, the NFL can be a harsh mistress.

One of the reasons I've felt for a long time that religion was self-imposed hardship was the whole you have to waste your Sunday on BS rule (I might be paraphrasing there). So yeah... I haven't missed church once since I started missing church (can't say I really miss it, Bob).

I'm a Niner fan too, and wow, they do not look the same without CMC. Pearsall looked good last night, as did their rookie Rosebud. Brock looked a lot better last night too. As always, Kittle was a beast. I've watched them start slow like this several times and then reel off a bunch of wins, so here's hoping it's another year like that, but the NFC, especially the NFC North looks extremely competitive this year. Even the NFC west is all scary: all 4-4 except the 3-4 Rams who will not have a losing record by the end of the season, I'm certain.

Tough conference. I don't think the Cowboys even make the playoffs this year.

With 53 guys on the roster, at least one of them had to be a Trump fan.

Football players get hit in the head a lot, and most of them are not highly educated to begin with. Their opinions don't matter.

Being a resident of Washington state I am not enjoying Seattle's performance so far. It did not look promising for the second half.
Let’s hope they can make up for it in the second half.

We’re watching the Commanders and the Bears. Commanders doing well so far.
Well Buffalo played well and the Seahawks played well for perhaps two minutes. The rest of the time played poorly between jawdropping screwups.

I enjoyed watching the 49ers.

In the case of the Democrats v. maga, they keep bringing a duck to a dogfight. (Hillary, Biden, Kamala v. Twump)

In the case of the Seahawks vs. the league, they need to go get a Duck for the dogfight. (Mariota, Nix, Herbert)

My old boss who I kind of have a grudge against is a Cowboys fan, so the dark side of the force in me would love to see them continue to lose. LOL

From what I understand, Christian is due back within the next couple of weeks after the bye. Since Mason got injured, that’s a very good thing. We just need all of these guys out there and healthy at the same time. When Brock, Deebo, Christian, Kittle, Aguik (sp), and Jennings are all out there at the same time, there is no stopping them. And Bosa, Fred Warren, and Greenlaw are beasts. Of course, Greenlaw is out at the moment, too.

It is just a dynamic team when you actually have all of the players.

Glad you’re a 49ers fan! Another reason you’re one of my favorite people. :D Good to see you again.
