So seems like the identity politics agenda isn't the agenda here, is it? So where did you get that idea since it wasn't from seeking sincere understanding while crying about being victimized?
So seems like you are having some significant difficulties with comprehension.
I said that I know why identity politics
were intentionally left off the agenda at Harris rallies and you just spent a ton off effort and posted a wall of text that provides evidence that it was left off the agenda.
Lol.
Again, I know why - the question is do you know why identity politics were left off the agenda?
Because, Ceeboo, the caricature of identity politics that you’ve been led to believe is central to D party is a lie. Look. Here’s the reality of candidates for any given job. You might get one or two folks that clearly are head and shoulders above the rest. And you might get a few clear clunkers that clearly are not qualified. But the rest are so clumped together that trying to differentiate them is almost entirely subjective, which means our subjective, unconscious, implicit biases have free rein. So this conservative fantasy that making sure folks aren’t getting handicapped by implicit bias has anything to do with unqualified or even less qualified people getting jobs is nonsense.
Beyond that, if you’ve interviewed and hired candidates, you’ve seen people that you thought were less qualified get the job (perhaps over your recommendation) and yet turn out to be top notch employees. And you’ve also seen candidates that you thought would be great turn out to be terrible.
Our ability to predict which candidates among the blob of candidates that cluster around the objectively qualified mark succeed or fail as employees is more like picking flavors of ice cream than precisely determining who is best qualified. In law firms, it often comes down to who among similarly qualified candidates seems to fit better with the firm culture. And if that culture is made up of mostly white, middle to upper class men … the result isn’t surprising.
Taking steps to make sure that everyone gets a fair shake has zero to do with hiring unqualified people.
