There were a crap ton of TV ads, but I'd wager that the constant massive rallies were one of the most significant expenses (following the army of consultants they likely paid). That is, of course, assuming Democrats/Harris weren't pulling a Trump, and actually paid their bills to the cities and vendors (Trump still hasn't paid bills to cities from stuff from over five years ago). El Paso (the city itself, not even the vendors) alone is owed $569,204.63 from Trump from 2019, to give an idea of how much political rallies ultimately cost. You factor in vendors, venue, schwag, etc., and I wouldn't be surprised if the price tag of just a single rally is in the millions. That's not even factoring in travel, accommodations, etc. of the non-local roving campaign team.

Trump has been indebted for hundreds of thousands (millions?) of dollars for more than five years and has just been elected President? What would happen if another American, say Ceeboo, owed a City a few hundred thousand dollars but refused to pay it for five years? I’m guessing he’d have his property forfeited and/or be incarcerated by now? Why hasn’t that happened to Trump?Doctor Steuss wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 8:04 pmThere were a crap ton of TV ads, but I'd wager that the constant massive rallies were one of the most significant expenses (following the army of consultants they likely paid). Think of how many homeless people could be fed with $500,000.

Or it could fund two after-dinner soliloquies by Mrs Trump.

I imagine after bankrupting a multi-generation cabinet making family business by refusing to pay them, along with over 250 other small businesses on a single project, while racking up 24 violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act, stiffing a city is probably easy-peasy.I Have Questions wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 8:11 pmTrump has been indebted for hundreds of thousands (millions?) of dollars for more than five years and has just been elected President?

I don’t understand how people can read Trump’s track record of unpaid bills, leaving a trail of devastation for the American working man, and then vote for him thinking he’s going to be somehow different towards them when he’s in charge of their money. It’s like recruiting Bernie Madoff to be your accountant. I’m genuinely baffled as to why Republicans saw him as their best candidate. He’s a liar, a charlatan, a crook, a bully, and he’s cheap. Is that what Americans want as the head of state of their country, really? You’re asking for Banana Republic levels of wrongdoing.Doctor Steuss wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 8:37 pmI imagine after bankrupting a multi-generation cabinet making family business by refusing to pay them, along with over 250 other small businesses on a single project, while racking up 24 violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act, stiffing a city is probably easy-peasy.I Have Questions wrote: ↑Tue Nov 12, 2024 8:11 pmTrump has been indebted for hundreds of thousands (millions?) of dollars for more than five years and has just been elected President?

I don't understand it either. That's the immoral jerk who was recently elected president. But ceeboo wants to quibble over a false rumor that Winfrey was paid to appear. I am really curious to see if ceeboo comments on Melanie Trump's speaking fees she received for being at her spouse's rallies. That seems to be a far greater problem than the fake rumors he presented....Donald Trump often portrays himself as a savior of the working class who will 'protect your job.' But a USA TODAY NETWORK analysis found he has been involved in more than 3,500 lawsuits over the past three decades — and a large number of those involve ordinary Americans, like the Friels, who say Trump or his companies have refused to pay them.
At least 60 lawsuits, along with hundreds of liens, judgments and other government filings reviewed by USA TODAY NETWORK, document people who have accused Trump and his businesses of failing to pay them for their work. Among them: a dishwasher in Florida. A glass company in New Jersey. Painters. Waiters and other hourly workers at his resorts and clubs. Real estate brokers. And, ironically, several law firms that once represented him in these suits and others.
Trump's companies also have been cited for 24 violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act since 2005 for failing to pay overtime or minimum wage, according to U.S. Department of Labor data. Those cases were resolved by the companies agreeing to pay back wages.
In addition to the lawsuits, the review found more than 200 mechanic's liens — filed by contractors and employees against Trump, his companies or his properties claiming they were owed money for their work — since the 1980s.
The liens range from a $75,000 claim by a Plainview, N.Y., air-conditioning and heating company to a $1 million claim from the president of a New York City real estate banking firm. On just one project, the Taj Mahal casino in Atlantic City, records released by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission in 1990 show at least 253 subcontractors weren't paid in full or on time, including workers who installed walls, chandeliers and plumbing.
The actions in total paint a portrait of Trump's sprawling organization failing to pay small businesses and individuals, then tying many of them up in court and other negotiations for years. Some give up the fight or settle for less; some ended up out of business....

I don't know about anyone else, but Dr. Exiled's campaign events production company is open for business.

I just want to figure out how to be a consultant for the Democrats. I'm sure I can come up with something, at least in Nevada, that's better than "text people an obscene number of times, and after they text "Stop," use an alternative company to text them again from a different number to circumvent telemarketing requirements."
Democrat Consultant: All of the money, with none of the expectations for results.
