My guess is that by making easily refutable and even laughable claims that the 2020 election was unlawfully rigged against him he hoped to prime most voters to dismiss even legitimate and provable claims of an election unlawfully rigged in his favor.

No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

Now here’s the good news
We saw that in 2020 when, despite extreme, even felonious actions by Trump supporters to block, challenge and disqualify voters and ballots, the theft by suppression was defeated.
That was the work of voting rights groups challenging these attacks. The work was done in the courts and, more important, in the precincts, re-registering the purged, challenging the challenges, “curing” disqualified ballots.
The road is long but victory is certain. After the 2016 election, the Palast team uncovered a cruel, racist purge program called, “Interstate Crosscheck” that cost nearly a million voters, overwhelmingly minorities, their rights. This motivated the Rev. Jesse Jackson to launch a campaign that successfully shut down Crosscheck. Unquestionably, Joe Biden could not have won in 2020 without the Reverend saving literally hundreds of thousands of votes. The point is, they can’t suppress all the votes all the time.
In other words, Democracy can win, despite the 2.3% suppression headwind.
And that’s our job as Americans: to end the purges, the vigilante challenges, the ballot rejections and the attitude that this is all somehow OK.
Martin Luther King gave us our marching orders in 1965, in words just as important today.
“Let us march on ballot boxes, march on ballot boxes until race-baiters disappear from the political arena. I want to say to the people of America and the nations of the world, that we are not about to turn around. We are on the move now.”
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.

The post was clearly presented as an aside to another poster. It contained a request that posters not use it to derail the topic of this thread. As follows:Dr. Shades wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 8:01 amWhat did the letter say?Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 4:57 amCaroline Kennedy has sent a letter to congress or just the senate regarding RFKJr.
If you want to know what the letter said, you can google that right up. It works!Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 4:57 amAside to Gunnar: Not intending to derail. Caroline Kennedy has sent a letter to congress or just the senate regarding RFKJr. I'm not in a position to carry a thread through right now. If it's something you think is thread worthy perhaps you could take it on. It's okay if you're not interested. Just wanted to mention it as possible topic.
Friends please do NOT use this post to derail the topic. It's just my way of communicating this suggestion in full public view.
ETA: Oops! You can also check into Gunnar's new thread about it. Apparently he thought it thread-worthy.

It’s consistent with the turnout from most election years.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 5:13 amSo dude help me understand this. They're saying that 90 million voters didn't turn out to vote. But why didn't they? If I missed something please point me to it.drumdude wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 5:02 am36% of the country’s voting-eligible population, did not vote in the 2024 general election.
1 out of every 3 Americans.

That is quite simply self suppression. It’s the duty of Americans to register, stay registered, and exercise their rights.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voter_t ... _elections
In any of these elections, there was a huge pool of eligible voters just waiting to win the election for any candidate strong enough to motivate them to simply show up and vote.
As to why they couldn’t be bothered, we’d have to ask them! The barriers to voting have never been lower. Less than 100 years ago you had racists physically blocking people of color from entering polling stations. These days, I saw people all over town set up with stations to register people to vote. It’s hard to not attribute the low turnout to simple laziness.

That's true in my state, California, and other blue states (as far as I can tell), but not necessarily true in some red states that actively make it difficult to vote, especially in precincts are not predominantly Republican or white, by severely limiting the number of polling places or ballot drop-off boxesdrumdude wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 3:11 pm

That’s fair. I personally think that voting should be online, secured with standard encryption and identity verification technology. It’s good enough for everything else in life, and there’s no reason voting shouldn’t be as easy as possible.Gunnar wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 11:22 pmThat's true in my state, California, and other blue states (as far as I can tell), but not necessarily true in some red states that actively make it difficult to vote, especially in precincts are not predominantly Republican or white, by severely limiting the number of polling places or ballot drop-off boxesdrumdude wrote: ↑Wed Jan 29, 2025 3:11 pm

Re: BREAKING: KAMALA ROBBED OF 3,565,000 VOTES
I've seen this claim on another message board, but I'm very skeptical about this.
Within California, Harris received a little more than 1.8 million less votes than Biden. However, California doesn't have a history of voter suppression. And Harris received all of California's 54 electoral votes.
Harris received more than Biden in six states, which were Maine, Utah, Nevada, North Carolina, Georgia and Wisconsin. Four of those states were battleground states during the 2024 election.
Georgia Election Results:
2020 Biden - 2,473,633
2024 Harris - 2,548,017
Wisconsin Election Results:
2020 Biden - 1,630,866
2024 Harris - 1,668,229
Nevada Election Results:
2020 Biden - 703,486
2024 Harris - 705,197
North Carolina Results:
2920 Biden - 2,684,292
2024 Harris - 2,715,375
