I think the biggest indictment against RFK's competency is that he thinks he's qualified. The fact he didn't decline the offer is bonkers.
I just finished watching some clips from a Rogan interview. Do people really want someone heading up healthcare that can't even understand study abstracts? I mean, some of the stuff he was getting wrong (and wholly hallucinating out of thin air) wasn't even buried in the bodies of the studies he was getting wrong. They were literally in the abstract. Either he's a serial liar, or he's absolutely incompetent.
To me, it doesn't so much matter that he appears to be yet another insane sexual predator (that's a requirement for MAGA loyalty), it's that he's incapable of understanding even the most basic medical and food health research. When I, a person of average (at best) intelligence can comprehend things better than someone who will be in charge of it, that's incredibly problematic.
Watched a bit more of RFKJr.'s appearance on Rogan. I think my favorite so far is that RFK claims the Spanish Flu pandemic was "vaccine induced flu."
The Spanish Flu pandemic was in 1918-1919. The flu vaccine was developed in the 1940s.
Add time travel to the adverse side effects of vaccines, I guess. No longer will it be "I think a vaccine gave my kid autism." Under Trump's brilliance, we'll have "I think a vaccine teleported my kid to feudal Japan."

Longest four years ever.
The leading cause of vaccines is disease; if you are pro-vaccine, you are pro-disease. Ipso flipso.

Did he specifically claim that it was the flu vaccine that induced the flu, or just that it was vaccine induced without specifying that it was the flu vaccine that did it? Either way, he was wrong, of course, blaming a vaccine not yet invented as the culprit is particularly ignorant or insane.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
Joe Rogan created a disgusting culture of “I’m just asking questions” and “it’s entirely possible.” The crazier the conspiracy theory, the better. No facts? That’s preferable!
He doesn’t push back on anything. He just sits there and listens with a mind so open it practically falls out.
It’s infected Republicans and conservatives like a virus.

He said "vaccine induced flu," and then went on to say the Spanish Flu was bacterial. I don't think even he knows what his claims are.
I honestly feel kind of sorry for the dude. He's obviously severely cognitively impaired; potentially enough to be qualified for being intellectually disabled. I don't blame him for being so incompetent that he doesn't know he isn't qualified. The primary blame falls on the enablers, in my opinion. I don't even know that I can fully blame Trump because he's too stupid to know when someone is incompetent.
This OGE disclosure by RFK Jr. is an interesting read. According to this, it turns out that he has pulled in roughly $10 million over the last year related to dividends from his vaccine lawsuits, anti-vax speaking fees, and leading ‘Children’s Health Defense’, an organization dedicated to spreading misinformation about vaccine efficacy.
