Re: Church leaders speak out against Trump policy

Post by I Have Questions »

For reference I’ve suggested this thread now be merged with the recently reinstated one titled “Will the LDS Church speak out against Trump…”
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

Is it possible for the Church to file an Amicus brief on behalf of Vladimir Putin for this thread, with the understanding that it may or may not affect any new Temple building in Russia?

That is a great idea. Could a new Mormon temple in Russia ever be bigger than Putin's ego?

Since Trump is more or less withdrawing the COVID-19 vaccine, that is one more thing the LDS Church can get behind.

You’d think God might have an opinion about the idea of using ethnic cleansing to create an area for a luxury resort development, which the First Presidency could share with the world. Apparently not.

Sadly, the COVID-19 vaccine is now relatively useless in preventing the current mutations of the COVID virus. COVID morphed from being a pandemic virus around 2022 into its current status as an endemic set of related viruses, not at all unlike the variations of the common cold and flu viruses. The good news is that the current crop of COVID viruses are far less lethal than the COVID-19 ancestor was.
