Why join in on a thread if it's just a rehash of a rehash?

I have to admit I always get a chuckle when I see Mormons make this argument.

There’s no better way to live through the movie “Groundhog Day” than to attend a typical Sunday sacrament meeting. You want to complain about nothing new under the sun, it’s right there under yer nose, mate!

I couldn’t take more than a few years of it. I don’t know how Mormons who stay in the church can endure 70 years of the same thing over and over and over. And at the low low price of 10% of their paychecks… absolute insanity.

Church is where we renew covenants made with Jesus Christ. Worshipping the Lord. Often. Nothing like that happens here.

This is more or less a bashing zone. You choose to be here to bash a religion that you no longer believe in.

Among friends, of course (nod to Kishkumen).

Says the guy who, after a months-long break, still has a higher per day post count than Gadianton*.

*For context:

MG is only leaving to save face after he told me I didn't have a life, and I pointed out he only had 2 posts fewer than I did and has been here half as long under his current revision (which honestly, hasn't added many features to the 1.0 release). I have a feeling he'll be back eventually, with his eye closely watching my post counter and will post again when he has some headroom. This could be positive, as it might encourage him to think a little bit more about what he writes. We honestly don't know what MG is capable of if he were to put effort into at least some level of consistency. If he goes out and does more Mormon things and takes his Mormon life to the next level, then good for him. If, however, leaving the board means he consumes another 2 hours of OANN every day, then I'm just pointing out it won't be an improvement in life quality.

Mentalgymnast's cycle continues.

The Lion's share of my posts have been in response to the volume of posts that have come my way that I've felt obligated to respond to. Without the bombardment of questions and responses that have come my way whenever I have posted, the overall posting number count would drop dramatically.

By a huge amount. At times I could barely keep up!

Which threads specifically did you read before you posted this that led you to the conclusion that the content was only a rehash? Indeed, if there were ever a rehash topic it's your inability to let it go that we can't let it go, and so here you are justifying your high daily posting rate. "Oh! I'm only responding so it doesn't count, k guys??"

I'll admit I don't think you read any of the threads, and therefore you have no idea if it is just a rehash.

Without my contributions the topics, on the whole, would have been a rehash. As I look through the topic headers I don't see anything that doesn't appear at first glance to be a rehash of a topic that's already been discussed nauseum.

Admittedly, once I join(ed) in almost ANY thread it definitely got/gets the ball rolling from my recollection and experience. You guys can't help yourselves!

As they say, you can't judge a book by its cover. You may suspect that the topics are rehashes, but unless you've read through a substantial number of threads, you don't know that.
