Reminder if you're interested. Here's a protest almost anyone can do. You may have heard about this...it's tomorrow. The idea is to faciliate a nationwide 24 hour economic black out.
Excerpt:
Consumers are preparing for a 24-hour economic blackout on Friday, one of several boycotts planned by groups of consumers or activists to protest what they call corporate greed, companies that have rolled back their diversity, equity and inclusion efforts and President Donald Trump's efforts to eliminate federal DEI programs since taking office.

In my opinion, this would be much more effective if it were done on the final days of a quarter end. That way it would impact quarterly statements. As it’s done currently, whatever people forego buying today will just be bought in the following 31 days, and quarter earnings statements that get issued to investors will ultimately be unchanged. If you did it at the end of a quarter (and it was big enough), it’d get investor attention as it’d show up on the corporate earnings investor call.
As an aside, and somewhat related, consumer confidence has dropped seven points. That’s the largest monthly decline since August of 2021. Average 12-month inflation expectations surged too.

And throwing an egg is definitely an extreme response to our democracy being dismantled…
With the cost of eggs right now, it's incredibly extreme. If you're going to throw something, at least use something that's relatively inexpensive to buy, like maybe a Republican politician.

You know JD Vance is doing all this for Putin for free. He’s just that dumb.
I thought he was getting a steady supply of USSR surplus tiny pants?
I think that picture proves that JD Vance is a child trapped in an adult's (I guess) body. He's living out the movie Big but hasn't gotten to the part where he wears adult clothes.
Religion is for people whose existential fear is greater than their common sense.
True. And throwing an egg is definitely an extreme response to our democracy being dismantled…
What percent is 1 out of 365 days? It’s really going to send a message.
drumdude. Take my hand...it's a economic boycott, a peaceful protest of the current administration's mangled policies. It's not intended to cripple the economy in one day out of 365. It's intended to make a statement.
It's like casting a vote against the policies. You might consider it a warning shot fired over the GOP's collective heads.
This likely will not be the last protest of it's type or other types such as the people you see who have taken to the streets outside of the state houses and county courthouses or the folks protesting at their Town Hall meetings.
