Alright, I believe I've attracted enough of the board progressives, so I can now begin to critique the five bullies who reacted to my post. First, to Canpakes, it’s clear that I was aware the person in the picture I posted was indeed a woman. I obtained the image from the link you shared prior to your post. But consider the chaos I ignited by sharing a picture of someone none of us know, on a board she will never see. Understanding all of this, the board progressives rallied together, advocating for someone they are unfamiliar with, while in other discussions, long-time posters are being labeled as "damned retarded," and not a single one of the five individuals who replied to my post attempted to defend Ceeboo, despite him frequently facing derogatory remarks. Have any of the five individuals who replied to my post ever attempted to support someone who isn't a progressive? No! Have any of the progressives ever voiced their support for America? No! Do any of the progressives advocate for conservatives? Absolutely not! Did any of the progressives I just baited into responding advocate regarding moderate Democrats? No! What is the reason for that? Progressives are driven by hate!

As I have just demonstrated, progressives tend to focus solely on those they categorize as a victim class, viewing everyone else as adversaries. Those who move to the rhythm of their suicide dance they love. Everyone else they hate or view as ignorant. This attitude is exposed is exactly why Trump won!

Let me try to explain this one more time. Take DEI as the example. I don't have anything against it and in general it makes sense to me. I've never seen anyone hurt by it, and the examples that circulate online like the white guy who didn't get the air traffic job strike me as a sham. However, it's not my fight. At the end of the day, I'm mostly concerned about whether I can get a job. I'm concerned about my problems.

Here's where the right has got me and with all due respect, you've got me as well. you guys -- you and the right -- launch these completely absurd attacks against DEI, for instance. (Equivalently, Donald Trump gets up and accuses immigrants of eating neighborhood dogs in Springfield). As Sock Puppet pointed out, you blatantly confused Affirmative Action and DEI. And it went down from there. Your arguments are so dumb that it's grating on the nerves. Yet, I don't think you're unintelligent, you've just let MAGA rub off on you a bit too much, I suppose. But you do a great job of provoking me into a response. Even though I'm not a champion for DEI and more of a sideline supporter, it's the absurdity of the arguments that draw me in. If you made arguments against Donald Trump that were as absurd the points you make against DEI, you might eventually lure me into defending Trump. So here I am, though I'm not a progressive, I am defending progressivism. And it gets worse, as your tactic is pretty good. You refuse to discuss anything else. You've told me point blank you won't talk about the economy or any of the positions you think a Democrat should hold (unless it's a patently stupid mirror of what MAGA is doing which evokes the same kind of reaction). And so here I am, not talking about the economy or anything else, only defending (presumably) progressive talking points as you launch ridiculous attacks on them. And so you can sit there at point your finger at me as a progressive who has failed the party.

It's a really good tactic. You've ensured I can never talk about anything but DEI or progressive talking points if my discussion is with you, and in general, the MAGA types don't want to discuss much beyond (presumably) failed progressivism. And this is true with left-of-center independent media as well. They get sucked into endlessly defending progressive talking points or dismantling MAGA publicity stunts because MAGA just launches dumber and dumber nonsense, and it's tough to let go. But here's the thing, they need to let it go. Even though it's you and MAGA who are obsessed with it, not us; the left, as do I, spend most of the time responding to nonsense, and so you folks entirely control the narrative.

Democrats need to figure something out. What do they stand for beyond warding off MAGA nonsense? It's a real problem that they don't have a platform. I can see strands that could come together and work, but it's a long way off, and ultimately, I think it's left-of-center independent media that's going to have to figure it out. They are going to have find a way to get behind something that isn't a reaction to MAGA.

It's hard, can we just let it go when Trump makes outlandish pet-eating accusations? I think it has to be let go. The added bonus is that since MAGA doesn't actually stand for anything beyond provoking libs and one-upping yesterday's outlandish thing, it's like refusing to respond to the school bully and eventually he's going to give up. But this must happen on a large scale, and good luck to us with that.
