Let's Step Up For Don Bradley
I don't know any details, but I would encourage anyone who has the means to donate: https://givebutter.com/P1CLrP

Has Don Bradley passed or is this for one of his family members?

Drumdude, I'm not 100% sure, but I think it was someone in Don's family.

There is a discussion about Don on the MADD board. Details are unclear, but I believe it involves a family member.

Re: Let's Step Up For Don Bradley
I will. I am sorry I have not said anything. I will be flying to Utah on Friday to attend the funeral on Saturday. Don's son, Donnie, died recently. It was unexpected and horrible. Truly tragic. He was a wonderful young man with a brilliant, searching mind. He was a poet, but I confess that I only recently learned this. I remember fondly our visits together over much of the span of my many-years friendship with Don. Donnie and I had similar tastes and interests, at least in things modern and post-modern, although I could hardly keep up with him, so capacious was his vision of things.
I can't believe that I am writing this. It has been hard to process. Don, of course, is absolutely devastated.

What has come to my mind is appreciation of Donnie’s sense of adventure. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to meet him, but grew to love and appreciate him from what I have been told about him. My heart is absolutely broken for my friend. I look forward to finally meeting you face-to-face, my dear friend, should you read this Don. Mr. Nobody and I will see you soon. Awaiting the last leg of our flight now.Kishkumen wrote: ↑Wed Apr 09, 2025 1:05 pmI will. I am sorry I have not said anything. I will be flying to Utah on Friday to attend the funeral on Saturday. Re: Let's Step Up For Don Bradley
It was a sad funeral. I am so grateful I got to meet both Kishkumen and Ms. Nobody and Mr. Nobody and buy them lunch afterwards. I appreciate that we all were able to support Don and be there for him. He needed it. I now know the actual face of grief live and cried along with him. He will heal, but it won't be for a while. I also got to shake Steve Smoot's hand and find out he and his wife were married a year ago. I had no idea he got married, and I got to talk to Jack Welch of FARMS and Chiasmus fame as well as shake hands with Neal Rappleye and his wife. I also saw one of the Midnight Mormons (can't remember his name) but I pointed at him as I was walking by out of the chapel and said "You! You look familiar." And he pointed back and said "You look familiar too!" I also got to briefly talk with Matt Roper. That was pretty much everyone I knew. I got to meet and get acquainted with a gent Alex Criddle as well! VERY cool guy and we are going to have enormous amounts of conversations!
Just remember this. Tell your kids or parents or whoever in your family you love them. Tell them that more often than you do. I promise it's worth the effort.
