MG, why do angry and full of hate? You can do better. You can be better. This is not how missionaries act.
Is what a lifetime of being Mormon has done to you?
I don't dislike you or anyone else on this board. If anything, I have a degree of sympathy for your plight. I would like to actually meet you in real life. Do you live in Utah? Let's meet. I'll treat you to lunch.
Even though I don't dislike you I might get to like you even more. You could win me over through the charm you demonstrate here. What do you say? First, however, you need to P.M. me and show/demonstrate that you are not a liar. Fair enough?
Regards,
MG
MG, first talk to me. Why the sudden rage and lashing out? Is this the real you or did something happen to you today? I would like to believe this isn’t the real you and that you haven’t just been hiding behind a fake facade the entire time you’ve been participating on this board.
In what way do you think name calling, rage and belittling is in accordance with the religion you publicly profess to follow? I’m hear to listen and to try to help the real MG.
"I'm on paid sabbatical from BYU in exchange for my promise to use this time to finish two books."
I’m worried about you. You seem wounded, hurt, angry and lonely. I think something must have happened in life for you to be this way. I have a lot of love and sympathy for you. Hang in there big guy.

Gotcha! Ladies and gentlemen, we have seen a demonstration of behavior on Mr. Wang's part that is described in greater detail in the DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) that I earlier referred to:
Passive-Aggressive Behavior
Emotional Manipulation
Attention-Seeking Behavior
Pathological or Compulsive Lying
Mr. Wang, there is professional help available...although I'm questioning that where you have come this far without treatment that you may be living a lie and not have inner knowledge of the extent to which your condition has become part of who you are as a person. But it is possible to change.
I think I'm done with you for now. I will check back at a later time to see if you have P.M.'d me in order to connect on more personal level than is possible in a public forum. I'm honestly not expecting you to do so.

In 2013, shortly before the publication of DSM-5, the director of the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), Thomas R. Insel, declared that the agency would no longer fund research projects that relied exclusively on DSM diagnostic criteria, due to its lack of validity.
I cannot find the previous reference to the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders that you say you have made. Please can you point me in the right direction? Also, do you have a link to your DSM source?
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.
