Curiously, the same people that weaponized Biden tripping and falling aren't showing the same zeal here.
On a serious note, if anyone has never tripped on stairs, it's only because they've never used stairs. Our evolutionary ability to be bipedal always seems to be on the verge of failing miserably.

God, Markk, you’ve mentioned this a half dozen times, so you must have really been hurt by it. I admit that up until now, I'd thought you were kidding about this, but apparently, when I teased you a little about your politics, it really stung. I misjudged your level of defensiveness and sensitivity. I apologize.
Maybe you should have labeled the art thread as a "politics free zone,” so I would have known. Perhaps then, I wouldn't have baited you and hurt your feelings so badly. Art is, by definition, inherently political--but I should have guessed you'd think otherwise. It's my bad that I didn't give it a second thought.
Got it. From now on, I'll try to be aware that when I poke you about your politics that you'll consider it that I am peeing on your back.

I disagree, and here is why. It could be dementia, Parkinson's, or a number of issues. I'm no expert but I am pretty sure dementia comes in many forms, such as Alzheimer's. Either way it is apparent that he was and is suffering from a clear mental decline as President.
The central issue for me is that, the President most likely was not cognitively sound, and his "gaffes" and clear physical decline showed the world in his 4 years that he was not capable to perform his duties.
Natural decline is a long process of just slowing down mentally; dementia comes more quickly because it is damage to the brain, a disease, based on my limited reading.

I'm wondering how it is you can be so critical of Biden but can completely ignore how Idiot starts a sentence on one subject and ends it five subjects later, with none of it making any sense. Or how he regularly mangles words. Or how it usually sounds like he has no idea what he's talking about. Or how he often sounds like a kid who never read the book standing up to give his book report. And he's been doing all that for years.Markk wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 5:38 pmI disagree, and here is why. It could be dementia, Parkinson's, or a number of issues. Maybe you don't consider it serious because it's not a mental decline; he's always been that damned stupid.

It doesn't bother me at all, it is what it is. I am a big boy and take crap from 95% of responders to my posts here, I actually enjoy the underdog position. What it did is show what you thought, and it is hardly a tease. Come on.Morley: God, Markk, you’ve mentioned this a half dozen times, so you must have really been hurt by it. It's interesting that someone as anti-DEI as you would spotlight Bramblitt.

edit: Let me change that: His work is unremarkable.

I have said here it is that latter, but not stupid, but who he is. He is a narcissist for sure, and loves to hear himself talk, and I think bloviate is the best term at his rallies. He is actually very funny in that he knows how to get under the skin of folks that hate him. The Governor Trudeau thing as an example was classic and very funny, I know there is something inside you that admits it. Was it presidential? no....Did it help the conservative Canadian candidate? No, but it was classically funny and showed his wit. Some Schmo wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 6:15 pmI'm wondering how it is you can be so critical of Biden but can completely ignore how idiot starts a sentence on one subject and ends it five subjects later, with none of it making any sense. He is dumb as a fox, and actually listens to people when he wants to, and I think a good way to put it is that he is not afraid to win like 99% of all politicians on both sides. He has a vision and he believes in it, whether you or anyone else does or not, and he is willing to go for it 100%, and if it isn't working, he has no issues with adapting.
We had two choices Schmo, and for me it was easy for so many reasons.

You thought that was 'classically funny' and showed 'wit'? Really.
That's not being funny, that's being a bully and acting like an ass....He is actually very funny in that he knows how to get under the skin of folks that hate him...
That's for damn sure. It's funny how people expect a president to 'act presidential' and not like a classless, mannerless, characterless idiot....Was it presidential? No...
Trump has done irreparable damage to the United States reputation re foreign relations. I don't think we will ever recover from this animal.

Re: Biden needs to step aside
This probably explains the lack of conservative comedians.
The ‘Governor Trudeau’ thing is a great example of someone thinking that an adolescent insult or general disrespect is an example of ‘classically funny’ wit, when it appears to most folks as nothing more than an adolescent insult or general disrespect.
Trump is the lobotomized version of Cartman. Basically, he’s a try-hard at ‘wit’ that just comes across as much more butthurt than remarkable, a small man who only knows how to try to insult people … while not even succeeding at that very well.
