Bro what? They thought the cow was a dog? That’s just crazy to me. I wouldn’t think it would take a genius Egyptologist to see what that one was.
I can't understand how RFM goofed up so badly in identifying the Hathor cow as the "big dog" reported by Caswall. Clearly, RFM got his papyri mixed up but how he could have conflated them and assign the cow as the dog is beyond me. And how Reel didn't catch it is also somewhat perplexing. I seriously thought that maybe RFM was sipping wine behind the scenes while nobody was looking. But that hardly makes sense either! And how on earth could RFM not figure out that Caswall detailed other scenes ("Look down this way.") on the same papyrus in question which has no bearing to what's on Facsimile No. 2? It's a bit of a mystery.
All I am asking for is some accountability and correction. If they can't do that then their listeners (especially paying listeners) are getting ripped off and credibility for the show is diminished.
We specialize in dissecting the history of the LDS church like nobody else, shedding light on aspects that may have been obscured or misrepresented while also covering current events and sharing and healing resources, our work has resonated with a growing community of individuals who value honesty, critical thinking, and the pursuit of truth...
Step up to the plate, guys, and do the right thing.

I agree and have shared my comments. And now, what will be done about it?
I didn’t even think about the fact that they do in fact ask for donations each episode. Paying patrons deserve the true facts.
It appears paying patrons aren't going to get the facts they deserve or receive appropriate correction from podcasters in whom they trust to deliver accurate information and maintain transparency when things go wrong.
It's a shame. Could it be that Mormonism Live® is a party based media event supported by those who donate money to keep the party going?
I sense that something is not quite right because certain facts aren't adding up...
Oí Shulem, I have a question for you on a different subject. I hear some apologists claiming that hypocephaluses were used by Egyptian priests in astronomy in some instances so they use that to justify Joseph’s interpretation of it as an astronomical diagram. I haven’t ever found the source of these claims but I’m thinking maybe you’d have some knowledge if the subject?

I don't pay much mind to apologists because they have little of value to offer and pervert matters of Egyptology as it relates to imaginary Mormon-Egyptology produced by Joseph Smith. Wikipedia explains the basic purpose and reason for the Hypocephalus as well as that of the Joseph Smith Hypocephalus.
Mormon apologists deceitfully represent Egyptian papyri like snake oil salesmen. They are liars for their Lord! But what have they ever had to say about this:
Joseph Smith, Facsimile No. 2, Fig. 8 wrote:Contains writings that cannot be revealed unto the world; but is to be had in the Holy Temple of God.
(What might that be?)
"Grant that the Ba of Osiris Sheshonq live."
So, what did the Mormons say to justify Egyptian funerary spells as it relates to their own temple ceremonies held in Kirtland and Nauvoo?
ANSWER: Nothing. Egyptian salvation was had through Osiris and Egyptian gods whereby the idol fearing God of Israel had nothing to do with the papyri and the spells contained therein. There is zero representation of Jehovah on the papyri. Those things were produced and dedicated to the gods of Egypt and was a symbol of faith by those who embraced the Egyptian religion.

Thanks for those links, if the apologists are saying this because hypocephaluses represent the sun shining in the over world during day and underworld during night, that’s way too spurious a link to astronomy to say Mr. Smith’s interpretations are correct.
I don’t blame you for paying no mind to the apologetics.
I used to drink the cool aid. I took all the translated text from Sheshonq’s papyrus and replaced words and names of gods with Mormon friendly ones…. Yeah, I’m not proud of that one. It was all fun and games at first for me as a missionary hungry for the mysteries of God, but what you said is spot on, these were real people with real religious convictions that Mormonism comes in and usurps.
