Bravo! It’s worth noting that Nelson has never apologised for this. The SEC’s order finds that, from 1997 through 2019, Ensign Peak failed to file Forms 13F, the forms on which investment managers are required to disclose the value of certain securities they manage. According to the order, the Church was concerned that disclosure of its portfolio, which by 2018 grew to approximately $32 billion, would lead to negative consequences. To obscure the amount of the Church’s portfolio, and with the Church’s knowledge and approval, Ensign Peak created thirteen shell LLCs, ostensibly with locations throughout the U.S., and filed Forms 13F in the names of these LLCs rather than in Ensign Peak’s name. The order finds that Ensign Peak maintained investment discretion over all relevant securities, that it controlled the shell companies, and that it directed nominee “business managers,” most of whom were employed by the Church, to sign the Commission filings. The shell LLCs’ Forms 13F misstated, among other things, that the LLCs had sole investment and voting discretion over the securities. In reality, the SEC’s order finds, Ensign Peak retained control over all investment and voting decisions.
“We allege that the LDS Church’s investment manager, with the Church’s knowledge, went to great lengths to avoid disclosing the Church’s investments, depriving the Commission and the investing public of accurate market information,” said Gurbir S. Grewal, Director of the SEC’s Division of Enforcement.

Happy Birthday Russell, this happened on your watch…

The Afore has managed to use Nelson’s 101st birthday to tell a name-dropping anecdote all about the Afore.

No, you and Wang NOT Hung are definitely not correct, and it's rather amusing, to say the least. It seems that MG2.0 is treating everyone in the Terrestrial forum as if they are complete fools, lacking both decency and common sense. What occurs is that MG2.0 simply shares a fact about Nelson in the thread, and it quickly turns into a feeding frenzy, with everyone seemingly eager to contradict him just to contradict him, there's no thought put in your post.sock puppet wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 9:45 pmYour beef is with MG 2.0. He couldn't simply acknowledge that Nelson reached his 101 b-day. MG 2.0 added, "What an amazing life he has lived and what an impact he has had on the church. Wang NOT Hung, can't you simply acknowledge that the man has reached a remarkable milestone of a hundred years?
Wishing you a fantastic birthday, Russell! Excellent work reaching over 100.
So Everybody Wang Chung and others have merely chimed in about Nelson's life and what was left out of the LDS whitewashing of Nelson's life.
His actions demonstrate that the exmormons here lack reason, compassion, and the capacity for empathy. He is demonstrating to anyone observing the board that exmormons are discontented individuals intent on undermining an American religion. You may not even be aware, but you and those expressing negativity towards him are providing him precisely what he desires, and it's quite entertaining to observe your unawareness of the whole scenario.
What is the name of the guy who manipulates puppets on strings and brings them to life on stage? Indeed, that's MG2.0, and he is dancing everyone around here on the discuss Mormonism stage with his moves.

Don't forget how President Nelson used his abilities to save himself, the pilot, and three other passengers from being a fireball flung from the skies and landing in a farmer's field in Delta, Utah. Talk about a holy miracle. No records exist outside of Deseret Books, LDS magazines, and a few well-made documentaries by RFM and Bill Reel, due to the miraculous nature of this story.

Re: Happy Birthday President Nelson!
thank you for this post M.G. 2.0 . I'm really interested in President Nelson's life, especially when he was a surgeon during the Korean War. I would like to do some research to see how many hours he spent in Korea and how many times he did surgery on those injured in combat, but I have a thought disorder so that's not likely. Here is an article from LDS living:

This is a story that Lynn Packer should do research on.
