I considered playing along as of if I were a sock for Gadianton but matching his writing style was too challenging lol
That's okay, your style matches others so that's not necessary.

To me the sock puppet speculations are pretty farfetched. Atlantic Mike and Hound may share political views but think so differently I cannot imagine them to be the same person. ( without amazing level of fictional character invention) puppet speculation I think is mild badgering of some posters. Sledge and Hound is even more farfetched.

One thing that stands out to me is a poster stating they are brand new but they immediately know and comment on deep layers of past board history.

That is a good “tell.” As for me I’ve been here lurking off and on for a long time.

Huckleberry, I would like to express my gratitude for not going along with Fibber Marcus in her effort to associate me with someone else. In recent months, I have spent considerable time reading through old threads, and it is clear that Fibber Marcus is permitted to drive conservatives away from the board by persistently bothering them repeatedly. She faces no consequences for her actions and is currently collaborating with Fibber Wang Chung to replicate the same behavior towards MG2.0.

It is important to recognize that for progressives like Marcus, there is a tendency to perceive all conservatives in a uniform manner. They often overlook the distinctions between a conservative Democrat, a conservative Republican, and an independent. When she hears the term conservative, her immediate response is to go into attack mode. It is clear that she prefers not to have conservatives contribute to the board, which explains her silence when DrCamnPP or Bishop Schmo share some of the most offensive content ever posted here. She takes pleasure in reading their unpleasant posts as they assist her in achieving her objective of eliminating conservative thinkers from the board.

Please can you cite a specific example where Marcus drove a conservative poster away from the board through repeatedly “bothering” them? (Please provide a link)
Premise 1. Eyewitness testimony is notoriously unreliable.
Premise 2. The best evidence for the Book of Mormon is eyewitness testimony.
Conclusion. Therefore, the best evidence for the Book of Mormon is notoriously unreliable.

You said you lurked a long time at the exmormon subreddit but you also said you didn't know anything about a topic that was discussed there repeatedly. And for an investigator you have a far more in depth knowledge about Shulem's topics than most people here. Not to mention that your investigator status only came up very recently, years after your first post. Do you also confuse The Netherlands with Norway?

I’ve never lurked at the exmormon subreddit. Nor do I speak Norsk or Dutch.

I’m not who you think I am. I was here years ago under a different name - “Abinadi”s Fire” and have been fascinated with Mormonism since around 2000 when a co-worker gave me the quote from James about “upbraided.”

I was confused that someone so seemingly reasonable could believe some of the truth claims of Mormonism. I didn’t really challenge him, mostly because we worked together and I didn’t want to make it weird. The missionaries did show up at my door several days later though.

So I went online to learn. One poster challenged me with the question “from where did the book come from? I wasted maybe 15 years trying to find an answer.

I think Paul O, Vogel, and Metcalfe are really close with the idea that Joseph wrote himself into the book. I just happen to think that there are more real people reflected in the book than just Joseph.

Anyway, that’s my backstory.

I keep coming back periodically because I get some idea in my head about “Pahoran” being “Parley P Pratt” or some equally unprovable idea.

I love the writing here - Gadianton, Kishkumen, and others are very good writers and I enjoy reading the discussion.
