It really seems to me that to MAGA conservatives anything that doesn't continually add to the further enrichment of the already ultra-wealthy at the cost of further impoverishing the least wealthy is Marxism.
I don't even think it's that specific. To MAGAtes, who understand the nuance of almost nothing, Marxism is anything they don't like.
I don't like what you said... what'er you... a Marxist? We don't take kindly t' Marxists 'round here...
Dumb people need any handle they can get.
So..... is anyone else walking around as assdumb as schmo? Really? All this and nobody sees that the Marxist schtick is nothing but a mirror?
It’s not a political position, it’s mockery. And watching the folks who invented the tactic suddenly demand rigor and nuance only when it’s used on them is chef’s-kiss comedy.
If you don’t like shallow labels replacing arguments, great, stop using them. But whining when your own shtick gets mirrored? That’s peak fragility.
Ban Whiskey permanently if that's the only way.

I agree that that is probably generally true in the case of rank and file MAGAtes, but it is nevertheless obvious to me that especially the wealthiest elites have the attitude that any concern or consideration for helping anyone not already immensely wealthy like themselves, especially those most in need of help, is closely akin to Marxism. In other words, the golden rule of treating others as they would like to be treated themselves, as Christ and any reputable religions have always advocated, is nothing but hated Marxism to many of them.
No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
A rural Nebraskan town that voted for Dump by 50 points just lost its hospital. The reason according to its CEO? Cuts in Medicaid.
Oh, well! We all have to die sometime, right?
At least food prices are down and the Ukraine/Russia war is over. Also, the Epstein list........
I can see the headline in this town's local paper: "Our Local Hospital Closes, But Trump Assures Residents That The Economy Is Strong (Just Don't Go To The Grocery Store)" or "Trump's Healthcare Freedom: We Are All Now Free To Drive 75 Miles To The Nearest Hospital."
"I'm on paid sabbatical from BYU in exchange for my promise to use this time to finish two books."
