However, the image was fake. Using reverse image search tools, we traced it to a post from X user @ScummyMummy511, who acknowledged using artificial intelligence to create it. The AI-generated depiction also did not match the scene shown in multiple credible videos and photos of the shooting, further proving it wasn't authentic.

Multiple credible analyses of videos from the shooting contradicted claims that Good was attempting to run over the officer and found that the wheels of her vehicle were turned away from him right before the shooting. (After a Minnesota news outlet released the agent's own cellphone video on Jan. 9, Vice President JD Vance was among officials who said the footage showed he had fired has gun in self-defense.)

That's what ICE was doing in Minnesota, according to JD Vance.

Vance did indeed make the above statement in an interview with Fox News host Jesse Watters. Footage of Vance on Fox News shows him responding to a question from Watters about how President Donald Trump's administration would speed up deportations of immigrants in the country illegally, to which Vance said ICE agents would be going "door-to-door" to check documentation. As such, we rate this claim a correct attribution.

Is there anyone here who is not alarmed by the likely unconstitutionality of this action and its virtually inevitable violation of civil rights and due process, not to mention the incredible expense of comprehensively carrying out such an action nationwide?

An obvious question that arises for any thoughtful person is that such an image as the one shown, taken from above, would have required a drone. But no-one so far has ever mentioned a drone anywhere around the scene. The consequent exchange is jaw-dropping:

In many versions of the image circulating online, text on the left-hand side says "mmy511." A reverse image search via Google Images returned multiple results for the full picture, which included the watermark "@ScummyMummy511."

That led us to @ScummyMummy511's X post, which included the image alongside a defense of the officer who shot Good. In a reply to the original post, @ScummyMummy511 wrote:

Omg how'd you get that picture of the shooting? How did you know to fly a drone at this moment over this situation? I didn't, this is a AI generated image of the scene just so r*****s can see why the Agent fired his weapon.

In other words, the person who posted this image posted a fake AI-created video, but did not warn their viewers that they had just created it to show a situation where the ICE agent had been in danger. They saw nothing wrong in doing this. Are people ceasing to believe that there is this thing called 'reality', and that it matters what happened in reality? It is beginning to to look like it.
