The people of Cuba and Venezuela will be much better off under the American system and so will we. Kidnapping or assassination the head of an authoritarian regime doesn’t magically transform the authoritarian apparatus of the government into kumbayas and rainbows. Venezuelans are worse off today than they were before the US kidnapped Maduro. The repressive, authoritarian government is still the same. But now the government has lost half of its oil revenues. So the country is poorer than it was when Maduro was the leader. Not only that, we are using this fantasy of regime change as an excuse to deport Venezuelan dissidents — the anti-Maduro people we pretend to want to help — back to Venezuela where they will be imprisoned, tortured, and/or put to death. Claiming Venezuelans are better off now is delusional magical thinking.
Simply removing a despot doesn’t create a stable democratic government. It creates a failed state, like Somalia. That’s why oil companies won’t invest a nickel into Venezuela’s oil infrastructure — without government stability, that infrastructure is in significant danger of being re-nationalized or destroyed in civil war.

I wrote this post to help the liberals understand what a police state is. It's very easy to not get killed by ICE. Just don't interfere with arrests of illegal immigrants. Obey lawful orders during your protests and don't resist arrest, especially while your carrying a firearm. She was able to keep her balance and ran to the sidewalk. The ICE agent chased her into the sidewalk and again tried to knock her down. He wasn’t trying to arrest her or question her or detain her. He was trying to injure her by knocking her to the ground. Alex tried to simply help her up. For that, he was tackled by five or six agents, pepper sprayed twice in the face, and shot. There was no “arrest” to begin with. He committed no crime he could be arrested for. And talking about “resistance” while distilled by five or six men is ridiculous. The reports I have seen suggest that ICE deliberately broke it for him, as in this NY post item. Moreover, this was in consequence of ICE agents deciding to 'scuffle' with him, because they didn't like his whistle blowing. They're sensitive like that ...
Pretti, an ICU nurse, told a pal he saw ICE agents chasing what he described as a family on foot, and stopped his car during the earlier incident around a week before he was shot last Saturday, CNN reported.
He said he pulled over in his car and began shouting and blowing on a whistle, at which point he was tackled by five agents, the source said.

I know Chap posted the corrected account with regard to Pretti getting his rib broken by the Gestapo. To reiterate, Ajax18 lied openly, brazenly, as he does virtually every time he posts here. Pretti was tackled by several agents and a fat agent put his weight on Pretti’s back breaking one of his ribs.
