Why does the status of a random refugee who entered a decade ago affect the ability of anyone else to enter for citizenship?ajax18 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 02, 2026 9:29 pmWe need to get rid of the 20 million illegal immigrants that came during the Biden administration through abuse of our asylum laws before we can start allowing more refugees. Those distractions aside, the current Administration has decided that no immigration is to be allowed. I presume you are supporting that approach. When will immigration be allowed again? What conditions related to ‘taking care of Americans first’ must be fully resolved before the US can accept immigrants?
Not only that, but you’ve just disqualified even the ‘merit based’ applicants from coming.
And while you’re pretending that every immigrant is somehow living large on welfare checks, you’d boot folks who are actually supporting their families and contributing to the economy. And you’d deport their children, many of whom never set foot in the country that their parents came from.
This is why your position reads more as, “MAGA just has a problem with immigrants because they’re immigrants” as opposed to the issue being about legal status, or employment, or lawfulness. It’s not really ‘America First’ if you believe that the slogan has any meaning beyond simple racism. It’s a bad look from a moral standpoint, and a problematic goal from an economic standpoint.

Update to OP - The only named source for the shocking claim is a German-Iranian eye surgeon named Amir Parasta, who claimed that the “surreptitious tally of deaths recorded by hospitals stood at 30,304 as of Friday”.
She was talking out of her ass.

Yes! the inherent irrationality and evil of Ajax's stance from both moral and economic standpoints can hardly be overstated!canpakes wrote: ↑Tue Feb 03, 2026 2:37 pmWhy does the status of a random refugee who entered a decade ago affect the ability of anyone else to enter for citizenship?

No precept or claim is more suspect or more likely to be false than one that can only be supported by invoking the claim of Divine authority for it--no matter who or what claims such authority.
