Re: The artificial intelligence MEGATHREAD

Post by MG 2.0 »

The recent flurry of posts are from people in whom I have little or no interest in having interaction with. The list, over time, has admittedly grown smaller and smaller. The word "insipid" has been used. This alone tells me that my words have had a potential positive impact on those that are unseen and unheard from on this board. The 'regulars' are expected to do what they do. I do what I do. Never the twain shall meet. I have no illusions on that count. I've said previously that my purpose is to provide a counterpoint to the critic's onslaught of information/opinion that is often incomplete/inconclusive/incorrect.

Of course, the echo chamber effect is going to go into full swing when I step up and through a monkey wrench into their finely tuned machine.

I'll do what I do..and take the heat. You do what you do with the well calibrated support system that exists here.

I don't expect anything less/more.

Recent interactions with one or two more posters has unfortunately shrunk the list of those that I find any interest in discussion with. It is what it is. It's not that I have any fear in communication with them, it's more of a "well, this is not going to go anywhere and we will simply go around in circles" kind of thing.

When there is a bit of give and take, that I find productive and interesting. I learn. Others learn.

But that, unfortunately, is not the way it works with those posters that have, for the most part, taken over the board. You'll never get other active members of the church here with the dynamics that exist. Some have come along and figured out the game plan and have left.

Yes, I stuck around longer.

Why? Good question. One that I was able to answer in the affirmative and with purpose until recently. This place is, if nothing else, a finely tuned machine. Evolution has done its work.

That’s not quite right. Posters have been jumping in pointing out that what you’ve said is a load of crap. Try writing something less stupid and see what happens…
Did you know that you left a gap of 1h 43m before jumping in! If you don't pay better attention you may find yourself deselected from the group.

Or perhaps I should be thanking you, IHQ. Was it my turn to jump in, and you valiantly covered for me when you realized I was asleep at the switch? Regardless, this failure points to a need for better coordination of the group's responsibilities and actions.
More actual truth to be seen in this post than might be readily seen through the fog/shield of so-called humor. I suppose I ought to thank you for clarification of the serious point I made earlier. Thanks.

I suppose we should feel honored to hear from a future god. Hopefully I make the ignore list.

The latest schedule is posted in the faculty lounge. I believe Marcus has the master calendar.

Done. Although I must say, there were some conversations with you that I enjoyed.

Best wishes.

Check. Done.

One list is shrinking and the other growing longer.

I see what you're doing. It may work!

When marcus told me this strategy to get him to ignore all of us would work I had reservations, but it seems she was correct. Well done team.

malkie, I'll give you the option, at least at this point, ignore or keep in the conversation loop?

Your call. Echo chamber? Or not.

Let me know. Thanks. :)

We’ve had very interesting discussions about ontology, Plantinga, Kant, Augustine, regression, the nature and character of God, love, and other topics without your input MG. I’d even call those discussions more fruitful than if you had engaged. Mostly because when you did engage, it was through AI. Your contribution to reducing an echo chamber isn’t even based on your own thinking.
