When you contribute to the campaigns of democratic socialists and help cause the very problem you're fleeing from, you don't get to come to Florida until you repent of your politics and become a true conservative. The mere fact that he could move to Florida and vote Democrat is just wrong. But Democrats always vote for higher taxes so long as it's always someone else being taxed.

Can you point to where in your article that Schultz states this tax that doesn’t yet exist as his reason for buying a $44 million residence in Florida? The not-yet-enacted tax in question applies to household income over $1 million and capital gains will be exempt. Schultz has retired.

At the height of the 2021-2022 migration boom, Florida stood out as the nation's top destination. However, it has since dropped to the No. 8 spot as remote work has fallen out of favor, with more companies embracing return-to-office mandates, while housing costs increased.

Noted; voters are responsible for every arguably stupid thing that a politician does. Perhaps MAGA should carefully consider this, and more than half of the country should send you a bill for our current excursion in the Middle East.

That said, do you believe that wealthier individuals might, on average, require greater infrastructure outlays to guarantee their property, resources and lifestyle? I think that a good argument can be made for that.

Tell us more about what really angers you about this tax, aside from the mere fact that ‘it’s a tax’.
