I got my popcorn which I sprouted transplanted out of the bucket into the ground this morning. That's kind cool! I also transplanted the mung beans. And my Garbanzo beans came up! I transplanted them after their roots got about 2-3 inches long! Man those lil babies grow! Plants are just so amazing....... I'm successfully sprouting alfalfa right now. The black eyed peas are weird. They stink and don't sprout! Dunno what I did wrong, but this is the 2nd batch that has failed. So, I'm going to a three garden mix next for sprouting. I am just experimenting all over with everything for sprouting and having a ball doing it. I'm still grinding flax seeds and putting them into yogurt for breakfast. It's really quite good, no joke. Oh, and my beets popped up a week early! I got them planted along with the cabbage, no sign of it just yet.

Hey Kerr. Your ecosystem is near identical to mine. Go looking around on the ground and see if you have Purslane. It's an edible succulent and...a super food. Make sure you're looking at Purslane and NOT Kinnikinnick. You can use Kinnikinnick (the bear berries!!) edibly as well. Purslane will be mostly in wet areas like where mushrooms grow. Kinnikinnick right under the shade of pines like a ground cover. Because it's a natural ground cover.

That's so nice of you. I really require a certain amount of begging from time to time. I don't know why anyone doesn't know that by now.

My mountain paradise is crap. Deer chewed up the deer resistant perreniels and it's been hailing here.

I can maybe do pics my earth boxes and seedlings on the deck. Got 3 more earth boxes to plant on the side of the house.

It's never getting done.

I like what you guys did with your tropical patio over there. Did you actually have to unload all those stones and gravel? That's back breaking work but it looks so smart and tidy. I can imagine sitting there at sunset. Very serene!
