That's in keeping with current CDEC guidelines. I haven't seen a statement from our governor yet. He probably has commented and I missed it in the online shuffle.

Jersey Girl mentioned she wasn’t going to Florida due to people not being vaccinated and the delta variant emerging as a result, and he asked her why she wouldn’t go if she were vaccinated.

We need that death count thing on CNN again. The one that looked like the banner adds on early free internet browsers that took up most the screen. I think the next surge is going to be worse than the last surge and that one side will say it is the other side's fault and if we do not vote the other side out then we are all gonna die so we need to cancel the elections or something.

How does the number you bolded help or hurt the democratic party less or more than the republican party?

CNN has been posting the death toll throughout Biden's presidency so your claim is just a flat out lie. It would help if you actually watched CNN once in a while instead of regurgitating the mind-numbing talking points from FOX.

Most grown adults with a functioning brain understand that the reason for COVID death spikes has always been about Republican opposition to science. Whether it be masks, social distancing, or vaccines, the Conservative's willingness to kill themselves just so they can stick it to Biden can only be understood as a mental illness.

Yes, it is called science, though you're likely intending to imply some kind of nefarious conspiracy. It is the same science that tells us the proliferation of antibiotics in the ecosystem will naturally produce immunity to the bacteria they are intended to kill. This is why it was so important, as Fauci and others have said, that we get everyone vaccinated as soon as possible before the virus mutates even more than it already has. But because we're a country where roughly 40% support the lies and crazy crazy nonsense from Trump, we're never likely to hit herd immunity because that would require anywhere from 75-90% of the population to be immune. Right now virtually everyone dying of COVID are the unvaccinated.

It's the same for people vaccinated or people getting sick from the virus. Vaccines teach our immune systems how to attack a certain virus, which is the same as un-vaccinated people getting the virus and surviving. Eventually too many people become immune to the virus and the only way a virus can survive is through consistently mutating to find new forms that can bypass a populations immunity to the current form of the virus. It makes no difference whether a population got that immunity though vaccinations or getting sick from virus itself as to the virus's ability to mutate to a new form that can bypass our immunity. Vaccinations just help most people avoid dying or suffering from the virus, and if enough people take the vaccination in a timely manner, we have a chance of eradicating the virus. Everyone getting the vaccine in a timely manner just eliminates the number of virus so that mutations that can bypass our immunity is less likely.
