Obsessing. Air quality is "moderate". Uh huh. I got one coat of paint on the piece I'm working on and had to come back in for a breath of fresh filtered swamp cooler air. Literally, felt sick to my stomach. I guess if we're breathing it, we're swallowing it as well. Masking up next go round.

Wrong. It just now went up another notch to "unhealthy for sensitive groups". The next level is "unhealthy". The level after that is "eat crap and die."

Hey thanks! At the rate I'm going it's going to take me at least a whole day to do an hour and a half's worth of work.

Just received a text from our public health district. Masks are mandatory in public indoor spaces for everyone five years old and up. I’m glad they’re getting out front on the current spike.

Me, I’m back in hunker down mode. Back to working from home and on line board gaming.

Ah well.

Having read the above, I checked on our local school district. New message dated a few days ago. No masks required. Only encouraged and supported.

Honestly, I am disappointed.

I'm basically hunkered down now too and only going out when needed. As stands it looks like I'm also hunkering on account of poor air quality. This too shall pass.

Then something else will jump up and bite us all in the butt. ;)

Yeah, sufficient unto the day is the butt bite thereof.

How very poetic! Scriptural even. Roll with the punches, I say! Roll with the punches!

There are a couple of forest fires some 20 miles east of where I live. The wind is from the west so many days have seen little smoke. A few days visibility dropped to a mile or so. That may have included some smoke from Oregon. A couple of years ago smoke from large British Columbia fires settled in my area to the point visibility dropped to below 100 yards at times. We set up a box fan inside the house with air filter attached. That helped some. I have extra air filters and a couple of fans in case the smoke gets bad again. Still I am hoping smoke will never do that again.
