Here's the meeting Abbott attended the other night. I wonder who's in charge of the notification process?
The great problem of any civilization is how to rejuvenate itself without rebarbarization.

A great article to link to and definitely an improvement upon links to unhinged right-wing news sources that mention articles like this one while misinterpreting them. Seriously an awesome article.
It's too bad Ajax didn't have this article available when his employer insisted upon vaccination, after he'd supposedly tested positive. Maybe he can sue for 20 million?
It sounds like we're making progress, though. Accepting this article means broadly accepting the effectiveness of vaccines.
Well, we know from a previous article housed at medRxiv that was directed to this forum in a round-about way, that vaccine makers are aware of gaps, with Pfizer working on a supplemental vaccine that's patched for Delta. And so a third round of Pfizer under this understanding would be different than simply a third round of the previous shot.
tl;dr: additional vaccine doses, or a primary dose for those with natural immunity, can hamper immunity to variant pathogens the vaccine was not specifically bred to combat. This is a well-known phenomena for vaccines. It's a moderate problem for the flu and a detrimental one for HIV. This is an empirical finding of something every vaccine maker already suspects will be an issue, even if it's news to laypersons.
Since Ajax has possibly compromised his natural immunity to Delta by taking the vaccine, I highly recommend he and his family take masks all the more seriously.
Social distancing has likely already begun to flatten the curve...Continue to research good antivirals and vaccine candidates. Make everyone wear masks. -- J.D. Vance
Somebody got out of the wrong side of bed this morning, didn't they ...
Still, it takes one's mind off the virus, doesn't it? So I suppose it's OK.
Or alternatively we could always try this kind of thing to distract ourselves from more serious matters:

That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
Mayan Elephant:
Not only have I denounced the Big Lie, I have denounced the Big lie big lie.
The right-wing channel Fox News, whose top personalities have for months assailed the concept of vaccine passports and argued that asking about vaccine status amounts to a major intrusion of privacy, told employees this week that they must disclose their vaccination status to the company.

But ... but ... Isn't there a woman in Congress who has told us that expecting her to answer such questions is a violation of her rights under something with a lot of initials? Fox News is way out of line. I mean, if they carry on like this, next thing we know they'll be imposing compulsory health checks, and asking people to wear masks in confined spaces.
Oh, wait ...

Edited to add: But what has this got to do with 'Vaccines and Therapeutics'?
Nothing. But I could also ask Cultellus why masks are completely ineffective against viral particle transmission, as he claims, or if vaccination seems to reduce the possibility and/or severity of infection, but he doesn’t know how to answer those, either.

I love that people who say we live in a clown world eventually are confronted by reality:
“All [FOXNews] employees must enter their status no later than today, August 17th, by close of business," Scott wrote, bolding that particular sentence in her email, which was obtained by CNN Business, but first reported on by AdWeek.
Scott added that while masks remain optional for vaccinated employees, the company is "requiring employees to wear a mask in small, confined spaces with limited opportunities for social distancing and where there are multiple employees, including control rooms."
