Re: COVID is getting worse
Well, since Ajax doesn't have the balls to even provide the source for his claim that COVID-19 is 99.96% "survivable," we'll just have to trace the claim on the internet. Okay, three seconds later, this was a "fact" circulating among COVID deniers back in August. Now, one would think that the rate of survivability would mean something like: "of the people infected with COVID, what percentage don't die of COVID?" But that's not what this number was back in August. It was just the reported number of COVID deaths divided by the entire population of the US. In other words, claiming that the number has anything to do with survivability is just BS.
We can estimate a couple of number that may present a plausible range of survivability:
If we divide the number of US deaths by the reported number of US cases, we get 2%
If we divide the number of US deaths by the reported number of resolved cases, we get 3%
Either of those number is two orders of magnitude greater than Ajax's BS figure.
His other claim was "99% of us don't get sick."
Another three seconds of googling reveals the source of that claim: Donald Trump. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics ... -harmless/ No one in the White House was able to identify the source of his claim. (But I can -- his ass)
The most recent studies estimate that 20% of cases are truly asymptomatic. They are still highly contagious. And even asymptomatic cases can result in organ damage.
Just to emphasize: Ajax parroted numbers he liked rather than spend a total of six seconds googling.

He can put his money where his mouth is by retiring.
He certainly doesn’t seem mature enough to hold the job, anyway.

And yet you did nothing to clarify the number of "deaths" that are assigned to Covid vs the number of deaths actually caused by Covid.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Tue Dec 01, 2020 7:51 pmWell, since Ajax doesn't have the balls to even provide the source for his claim that COVID-19 is 99.96% "survivable," we'll just have to trace the claim on the internet. But don't get bogged down by anything that doesn't perpetuate the panic campaign.
Focus more on the hypothetical claims for how cases are most likely underreported and chances are we all have Covid, which makes the math....

“It’s absolutely silly that we tabulate the number of people who die in auto accidents, when it’s obvious that no one has ever been killed by a vehicle.”

My God you're dumb. This talking point was debunked months ago. The deaths assigned to COVID were caused by COVID, period.

Re: COVID is getting worse
Incredibly dumb, especially when you consider the number of deaths caused by COVID would include both those where the patient died of COVID and those who died because the hospital was too busy dealing with COVID.
Defending the idiocy of Trump is like flailing in quicksand. They just keep sinking lower all the time.
