I wouldn't take it personally. Most TBMs didn't get invited either. I suspect they asked me for two reasons: 1) I often reported spam in the past, and 2) I have also reported a security issue they once had. I think they chose me because I have established myself as tending to report such problems.
Do you get cool new Spambuster avatars?
I thought it looked like they picked people who were online the most.
But AMan, I'm sure they picked you for your expertise. :)

Still waiting for Will to back this up...

Tarski is usually pretty calm and calculated (and somewhat forgiving of ignorance), but lately I sense he is growing wearier of believers.
I really doubt Tarski gets banned. He's part of the Criticizing Trinity (as Scratch once coined him, Dale, and Dude).

Did I really do that? If so, I feel bad that I left out Dan Vogel and Brent Metcalfe, who are also extremely important (and probably unbannable) critics.

Don Bradley is an extremely important (and amazing) contribution to the board as well in my not-so-humble opinion.
Yes, you're quite right, Steuss. And this kind of post is exactly why I have said many times that the blog is very much dependent upon the contributions of wonderful fellow posters (a.k.a. "little birdies") such as you and Bond. Thanks for the tip, Stu!
