Greeks haven’t produced much since their heyday either. Perhaps it was a complete waste to ever translate the works of Plato into English.
They have invaded every middle eastern country to spread their religion.
Sounds like Spain and the United Kingdom.
Maybe you don't know, but the Arabs are from Arabia, not every country that they now occupy.
Or, to be more specific, they are from the Arabian Peninsula.
All middle eastern countries had indigenous people who were conquered by the Arabs, their cultures all but disappeared.
Sounds like America.
The Arabs don't allow other religions and cultures to flourish when they invade, ie. Lebanon.
Or maybe they do (i.e. Egypt)
The UAE (that is the United Arab Republic) comprises 7 kingdoms, they are investing heavily in all parts of the world, because they have so much money. Pull up a a picture of Dubai, you might be surpursed. They can easily afford their own translation, we in the US can't.
OK, so your philosophy is “Don’t spend money on increasing and disseminating knowledge if someone else can do it instead.” Gotcha. If any new texts written by Saint Olav are ever found, should Norway be the only ones to translate them? (they do after all have a pretty high GDP per capita).
'spend on war' is a stupid comment.
Hi Pot, I would like you to meet my good friend Kettle. I believe you both have pigmentation in common.
