Daniel Peterson is already up and running over there, as well as bemoaning his treatment here. A couple of his quotes:
DCP on ldsforums wrote:I'm teetering on the brink of deciding that participation on message boards burns up far more time than it's worth -- I've just ended a supremely pointless and exasperating stint on a certain well-shaded board that won't be named -- but I like what I think is the concept behind this one: A board where serious discussion can occur that might actually be helpful to some people. If it works, that would be worthwhile.
Exasperating? What in the world did he expect? That his words would be greeted with the awe and acceptance they are on MAD? That he would not have to explain his reasoning? That we would fawn on him like so many others do?
Good grief! Grow up!
I'm not at all surprised that he doesn't appreciate this board, but I'm certain he has no idea how whiney and immature he sounds. Big words do not make a hurt child sound anything like an adult, no matter how hard he tries.
And Daniel's idea of serious discussion that actually helps people has nothing to do with MAD or LDSforums or any other one-sided board. Serious discussion that actually
helps people presents the answers from multiple approaches to any question. The church's one-sided approach does nothing to foster either serious discussion or to actually help people.

He sounds genuinely hurt.
Goodness, is the Great One's skin thinner than any of us could have known? When any of us are hurt by his comments, he makes sure to rub it in. Even though he would never admit such a weakness as Rollo posits, let us take the high road and apologize, in case Rollo is secretly right.
