I use a Blue Bluebird for recording vocals and some instruments. I don't have a piano (too big for my apartment) but a microphone like this would be a good choice. I really like how natural sounding it is. I've used other mics for my vocals and this is by far my favorite.

The mic looks great! It's a little out of my price range for the moment, though. I just sunk most of my expendable cash into the computer. LOL

You can find decent condenser mics for less money. They may not sound quite as good, but they'll do the job. I have an MXL brand mic that is pretty inexpensive and sounds good. I just looked on musician's friend and they have a good deal on a MXL two-mic and preamp package. Check it out here. That would be a good starter set.
