All together I think I managed to count 4-5 black persons in that crowd of 80+.
These were undecided.
What does that tell us? That most black voters are not undecided. They are already in the tank for Obama.
Hell of an argument there. You're a professional statistician, eh?
As it turns out, blacks have similar undecided rates to the general population. However, there's been a lot of research to suggest that a lot of people who say they are undecided really aren't.
PEC discussed on such example recently. Oh, they might think they are undecided, but really many have already have some preference and are just waiting on the suite of reasons that they ultimately will say is why they picked who they did. Almost all those undecided blacks are going to swing to Obama.
Instead of watching the debate, I went and saw David Sedaris yesterday. One of his essays, given because of the election, was an attack on people who say they are undecided. How can you be undecided at this point? I concur. It's one of my pet peeves.
