The infants were not evil; however, they would have grown up to become evil and they would have then have gone to the very same destination as their parents.
Are you saying that children don't choose to be evil, it's just an inbuilt trait from God?
“We look to not only the spiritual but also the temporal, and we believe that a person who is impoverished temporally cannot blossom spiritually.” Keith McMullin - Counsellor in Presiding Bishopric

Could you define "evil" please?

Who are we to say no? Evil goes in --- evil comes out. Hitler was once an innocent baby too. Most people try to ignore that simple fact. Might the world have been a better place had he drowned as an infant? I imagine Hitler now wishes he died a baby or had never been born... God is the utimate judge and when people begin to point their finger at God, well, He is certainly big enough to take it.

No, I'm suggesting that babies haven't yet had the opportunity to premeditatedly reject God's will.

What kind of god orders the slaughter of innocents?
They would grow up to hate their adoptive parents. War is war. People burned and looted. It still happens today. The abuse of people is one thing; however, killing outright in battle is totally different. I do not see torture as a God ordained. Even letting bodies lay around/hang around isn't something God wanted to happen.
