its not perceived, its actual as manifest by the post and that the post was made here.
Closure
Joy

unless you presume that such a pronouncement and lack of actually "leaving" as they compose the current delusion being experienced by the poster as "joy"?

Agnostic joy comes from waking up in the morning in fresh 600 thread count linens, your beautiful wife snuggled up next to you, with your kids running from their rooms and jumping into bed with you.

Well that and fly fishing.

Joy can easily be viewed as a condition of great happiness coming from righteous living. The purpose of mortal life is for all people to have joy (2 Ne. 2:22–25). A full joy will come only through Jesus Christ (John 15:11; D&C 93:33–34; 101:36).

You still don't get it do you...
Kittens can experience joy with or without religion, with or without resignation from Mormonism, with or with a deity belief system.

Maybe you can't because of some mental conditioning, but most people can. Atheists and Ex Mormons experience joy all the time, arguably more than the downtrodden, toilet cleaning, mall funding, collective thinking grunts of Mormonism...

Pontificate - to speak or write and give your opinion about something as if you knew everything about it and as if only your opinion was correct.

Nipper, you should listen to subgenius, he has great personal knowledge of pontificating....

your theory is sound, but it is contrary to the evidence we have at hand - which i have bothered to note previously....whereas you just speculate without foundation.
So, yes Kittens CAN experience joy, i have not denied that...but the facts are clear that this is not occurring now.
Now, if you want to pull a Themis and re-write definitions of words to fit your agenda then so be it, but the plain and simple truth is that an ex-mormon joining a "Mormon Discussions" forum, proclaiming their "leaving" the church, not forfeiting their church membership, and making an effort to be critical of that church is an ex-mormon without closure and without joy being discussed in this context.
Bitterness and the desire for vengeance or retribution clearly speak otherwise and clearly accent the lack of closure and joy.

Clearly you would propose that joy is a legitimate joy when it stems from crass insults and a desire to criticize...as clearly you must be experiencing when you characterize the "thinking grunts"......

You seem to be saying that membership of this board is an indicator that you don't have joy in your life. Do you have joy in your life subby old boy?

it may seem that way to you...but...to most modestly active brains it would seem that i am saying that membership on this board by an ex-mormon who desires to criticize Mormons while also stating that they have not really forfeited membership in church is an indicator that they do not have the joy in their life as much as joy is being referred to on this thread.
or like i clearly stated before "Bitterness and the desire for vengeance or retribution clearly speak otherwise and clearly accent the lack of closure and joy."

Okay, let's run a quick poll:
Do you ex Mormons who criticise Mormons/Mormonism on this board agree with subby that your lives are joyless?
