I have made that point as well. Faith is what motivates us to act on our convictions, whether good or bad.
The only question in this context is ... Can this tool be used negatively?
I don't know if it is the only question, but certainly faith can be used negatively, depending on what one has faith in.
Believing in god and good things happening is not a bad thing. It would only be bad when directed toward negative outcomes. Or if one is asked to use their power of faith under false pretenses towards an undisclosed means.
But it is still within the faith weilders relm of choice , hence ultimately they bear the responsibility for its outcome.
Substantially agree.
Short awnser is: Nobody makes you have Faith
However, there are fanatics and fundamentalists who try to intimidate us in to having faith, which is almost as bad.
