ETA: with regard to Rosenbaum rushing someone who was armed. Watch the video where Kyle Rittenhouse puts out the dumpster fire and Rosenbaum goes ballistic. That event is what preceded the shooting of Rosenbaum. That's what started the sequence of interaction re: Kyle Rittenhouse and Rosenbaum.

There's video of him putting out a dumpster fire and it includes Rosenbaum's reaction?

Here's a transcript of Rittenhouse's testimony. I couldn't find where he talked about putting out a fire which caused Rosenbaum to be angered with him.

I think the clinical term for what Rosenbaum was is called: totally screwed in the head.

As for tragic because he was engaged or whatever, you do realize he did prison time for (I'm not going to mince words here) damned and otherwise sexually abusing multiple minor boys, right?

I only knew he'd been to prison.

I was thinking it was tragic for the woman who thought she was going to marry him. Maybe it's a blessing in disguise.

None of this exonerates Rittenhouse, however.

Flagging someone isn’t deadly force. And if you’re threatening someone and chasing someone that is armed, I don’t think being flagged, especially since Kyle Rittenhouse flagged Rosenbaum before without firing on him, can justify use of force. Rosenbaum, if he felt threatened had a duty to retreat. In other words, Kyle Rittenhouse wasn’t an active shooter. In fact, the only “active shooter” prior to Kyle Rittenhouse firing on Rosenbaum was Ziminski.

I don’t have to wait until you use deadly force before I’m privileged to defend myself or another by using deadly force against you. If you aim your assault rifle at me in a confrontational situation, anyone present, including me, had an excellent case that they are entitled to prevent you from killings me or causing me grevious bodily harm by using deadly force to prevent you from pulling the trigger.

That makes sense I guess. It is unnerving to think that someone in public could end your life with a simply pull of the trigger. But gun fanatics who tote guns around must get an adrenaline rush from the power they have by pointing guns at strangers.

So basically anyone who points a gun at me in public cannot claim self defense if I get shot while trying to disarm him?
