I didn't mean to imply that he wasn't charged. Of course he was, as he should have been. It is too bad that none of those charges stuck. I don't see that he necessarily deserved to be convicted of first degree homicide and imprisoned for life, though.

The most disturbing thing about the Rittenhouse case is not that he was acquitted. It's that the right wing is celebrating him as a hero. Several Republican members of Congress have offered to have him as an intern. One, Anthony Sabatini, is even Tweeting about creating "Kyle Rittenhouse Day" as a federal holiday. A 17-year-old took an automatic rifle into a zone where political protests had turned into chaos, then walked out after killing two protestors, and conservatives think that's not only something to excuse but something to celebrate.

That and having Binger jack off all over this thread.

If he hadn't carried an assault rifle, nobody would have paid the least bit of attention to him. He wouldn't have had to defend himself against anything.
