Indeed. That miniskirt put every man in Central Park that night in danger of being raped.Perhaps, but that sounds dangerously close to "If she hadn't worn a miniskirt, she wouldn't have had to defend herself against being raped."
Social distancing has likely already begun to flatten the curve...Continue to research good antivirals and vaccine candidates. Make everyone wear masks. -- J.D. Vance

There are still differences. Generally, miniskirts aren’t known as a weapon, used to shoot up schools, or deployed in acts of domestic terrorism.

If a woman is stupid enough to put herself in the situation of being in a dark alley, is it her fault if she is raped? Some Schmo wrote:Nobody's ever tried to kill me because I'm not stupid enough to put myself in that situation.
So, chasing you down and trying to get control of your weapon after threatening to kill you, and/or trying to curb stomp you, and/or trying to bash in your skull with a skateboard, is merely "approaching you?"canpakes wrote:Nope. They’ll always be allowed to shoot folks approaching them. Self defense, yo.
Any deaths are just collateral self defense.

Binger wrote: ↑Sun Nov 21, 2021 12:11 amI believe what Some Schmo, Gadianton and canpakes are suggesting with these answers is that if they want to imply that the victim of rape or assault is imperfect, or wearing a short skirt, or possesses something they do not like, then the rape and assault were welcome and invited and therefore the victim of rape, assault or even murder has (or had in the case of murder) no basis for self defense under the law. These are, obviously, arguments they are making in defense of rapists, aggressors and murderers where they would like the victims to die or suffer and then shutup.
I believe we’ve reached the point at which your argument has been shown to be terribly faulty - as happened in the other thread - you have to start making up things to distract from your failure.
