The car dealership asked for help. Want to start over with your questions, dealing with the facts first. They let the guys get on the roof.
Security does not equal vigilantism.
You are talking about one car dealership. This kid's roaming the streets with a deadly weapon.
Face it, all you are interested in here is your little dick gun fantasies and you are frothing at the mouth to get your chance to gun down people you despise.
"I have learned with what evils tyranny infects a state. For it frustrates all the virtues, robs freedom of its lofty mood, and opens a school of fawning and terror, inasmuch as it leaves matters not to the wisdom of the laws, but to the angry whim of those who are in authority.”
Not unless you have an imagination that is even smaller than your dick.
"I have learned with what evils tyranny infects a state. For it frustrates all the virtues, robs freedom of its lofty mood, and opens a school of fawning and terror, inasmuch as it leaves matters not to the wisdom of the laws, but to the angry whim of those who are in authority.”
The vigilantes in the Rittenhouse case were obvious: Jump kick man, Huber and Grosskreutz. They were all shot or shot at while trying to deliver justice outside the law. And they were all felons just breaking the laws, again.
Self-appointed armed security man Kyle Rittenhouse was every bit as much of a vigilante as those who tried to stop him.
The real problem here is that you approve of Rittenhouse's version of vigilantism.
Thanks for pointing this out. You responded before I did. Grosskreutz and Kyle both preplanned taking firearms as well as first aid equipment into the situation seeing themselves as alternatives to LE or first responders. They both assumed a role based on a concept of the official public servants being unable or unlikely to respond to situations and choosing to play the part as one.
Huber was a protestor responding to a situation. He was naïve but showing up with a skateboard isn't playing vigilante. Rosenbaum was apparently there to “F” crap up which is the opposite of vigilantism.
Let me remind you that the populist framing isn't one sided based on political leaning. It's based on the framing of the corrupt elite oppressing the pure common people.
The rioters among the protestors and the vigilantes larping as LE were both bringing similar views about the state of the world into conflict that only differs based on which side represents the corrupt elite.
