We have a gun-friendly culture, and that horse left the barn a long time ago. At this point in time, it would be incredibly risky to try to turn the gun situation around, so I think it is a better idea to try to find different solutions to our cultural and societal sickness.
Sincerely, good luck with that. The only problem is that I can't think of any plausible solutions to the sickness to which you refer, so long as the guns are still out there and short of massive media censorship.

So that's both the second and the first amendments getting in the way.

Wait. I didn't write that... Kish did. Weird.

It’s fair to speculate on alternate actions leading up to the point of Rittenhouse feeling that his life was in danger. : )
Well, when certain people in this thread are claiming he wasn't defending a business or putting out fires. Both of which he factually did, it is pretty clear they don't have a basic understanding of the facts.

I am totally fine speculating on more ambiguous things, but those things are pretty clear.
Pretty sure that Rittenhouse tried to help with extinguishing a fire in a dumpster. But didn’t the folks at the dealership state that they hadn’t asked Rittenhouse to defend their business?

This article does a good job of explaining the situation regarding whether they were asked or not. https://www.kenoshanews.com/did-car-sou ... b2952.html

The evidence suggests they probably asked the group to defend their business but publicly testified to the contrary to avoid potential lawsuits from those shot by Rittenhouse.

Agreed. Nothing was made better that night after Rittenhouse decided to play militia boy.
Just because you are a pussy does not mean the laws do not apply. Thanks for being a pussy, pussy. We need you to stay like that.

Define enforcing justice. We know that applying a bandage is not enforcing justice, that lying on your resume is not, and putting out a fire is not.

So what is it?
Are you saying that you feel Kyle wasn't a vigilante while carrying a firearm as a member of a posse larping as law enforcement? Or, more likely, you want me to slip into discussing the shooting. The shooting has no bearing on Kyle being a vigilante that night.
He also misidentified himself as an EMT. That may not mean much to the general public, but it means a lot to me. Most people don't realize the difference between an EMT, an AEMT and a paramedic. Paramedics are actually pretty much on the same level in licensure and education as an RN, and AEMT's are pretty much on the same level as an LPN. My knowledge as an RN is nearly identical to the medics I work with, but their experience in emergencies outweighs mine. When we have a code blue the paramedic takes over and I follow whatever the medic tells me to do. I had a code called on an 18 moth old baby a couple weeks ago and it shook me up pretty bad.

Guns aren't part of a first aid kit. Medics and firemen don't carry them. People going in with the intention to help don't bring firearms.

My point is that pretending to be an EMT (see the above, I doubt he even knows what that means) is like pretending to be a veteran.

I can buy that conjecture.

Testimony describing Joseph Rosenbaums actions the night he decided to attack a minor. Remember, canpakes says Kyle Rittenhouse was the one who instigated the shooting by merely having an evil evil evil AR15.
