According to him, most or all of his motivation was because the police were unable to stop the burnings and the National Guard wasn't called out. This was most likely his mindset at the time:

Maybe it was, but it's still nonsense. Normal people don't think like that these days. Walking into a riot with an assault rifle takes a special kind of stupid.Dr. Shades wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 6:04 pmAccording to him, most or all of his motivation was because the police were unable to stop the burnings and the National Guard wasn't called out. Yeesh. That’s terrible, Shades. Can’t we get Jon McNaughton to paint up something better?

Yeah, because these days everyone knows when progressive Marxist are rioting there can't be any resistance. Why? Because everything they do is for a righteous cause, they're never wrong, we should thank them for being so brave and protecting our rights by burning and looting everything in site. We should just let them stroll in, burn burn burn, then stroll out like nothing ever happened. That way Don Lemon and Rachel Maddow can have an orgasm on national TV when telling us how righteous and forward thinking the progressive rioters are.Marcus wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 6:07 pmMaybe it was, but it's still nonsense. Rittenhouse and his armed friends wouldn't have the balls to go to E. 5th St in S. Los Angeles to help the police. A lot of people are getting killed in the E. 5th St area.Dr. Shades wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 6:04 pmAccording to him, most or all of his motivation was because the police were unable to stop the burnings and the National Guard wasn't called out. The National Guard is desperately needed in LA and other parts of the country. Some areas in LA have a lot of MS-13 gang members.
"Los Angeles Police Department Doesn't Have Enough Qualified Recruits As fewer people apply, and more applicants are rejected, the city struggles to replace police officers leaving the agency."

"“They’re worn out,” Los Angeles Police Department Chief Michel Moore said. “They’re frustrated. They’re tired. They’re feeling fatigued, and they’re saying they’re looking for options outside the profession.” In a report last week to the L.A. Police Commission, Moore and other LAPD commanders outlined the problem facing the department. In just the 2020-21 fiscal year that ended in June, LAPD saw 631 police from all ranks leave the department, many through retirement. That was nearly 100 more than left LAPD in the prior fiscal year."

Why should the riots in Kenosha be a priority?

Re: Rittenhouse Trial: Calling Res Ipsa
The National Guard had been called out the day of the Blake shooting. On the 25th, the Governor declared an emergency and doubled the number of National Guard sent to Kenosha. ATF and other federal agents were present. The Sheriff had ordered a curfew. There was no need for Rittenhouse to "take a stand." He went looking for trouble.Dr. Shades wrote: ↑Tue Nov 23, 2021 6:04 pmAccording to him, most or all of his motivation was because the police were unable to stop the burnings and the National Guard wasn't called out.
