I was good with a few months of giving chances and let's see how it goes, but it's time to just fix the problem. Hopefully Shades will come around to this as he sees that the three of you have spent inordinate amounts of time and obviously nothing is going to work.

And frankly, nobody disagrees more with Shades than me about what is the core problem here, obviously. Though, that does not mean that he is perfectly right and that I am perfectly wrong, it means there are differences. I noticed that one of they key questions that I asked the moderators on this topic got moved away despite it being a plain and simple question.

There is clearly a core group that wants a few people banned. And clearly, there are reasons that they feel this. And yet, when it comes to actually dealing with the conditions under which one posts on the board, there is nothing but screaming, "WE SHALL NEVER SURRENDER." This is followed by more of the same cycles.

I will say it again, I will say it over, and over, and over. Taking a passive or submissive position regarding the insults, including generalizations and bigoted insults about large groups, is not happening with me. I have tried that and other approaches, and they do not work here. So, if you fire your guns, I will fire mine. (that is a metaphor) Panache and clever trolling insults work for most the posters here, and a not subtle rejection of those insults works for me.

Another issue is that Gad's Cabal has convinced themselves that two people are only trolling and that they are the only trolls. Neither one of those assumptions is true. And THAT is what is crippling change which they hope will result from yet another rule/moderation adaptation. It was never true, and it is still not true. Gadianton is trying to convince everyone that these two things are true, and they are not. If ever he and others can come to terms with the fact that there are not just two trolls and that those two people do not just troll, he may see a different option and solution.

I am not shy about my views on this, and I will be less shy about it going forward now that Gadianton and Doc played their hands. panny is trolling the everloving crap out of the board and doing so as a moderator. That is FINE! He can do that. That is Shades' choice to have a troll on the moderating team and to let him troll the hell out of the joint. There is nothing wrong with that, at all. Shades can have it and panny can do it. But, to pretend that this is not happening - that is not my effing problem. Hell, even panny is not shy about admitting that he is trolling. He makes no bones about it, and neither have Cammy and Gaddy in this thread.

This proxy complaining about the moderators time spent moderating, when one of the moderators is incessantly in the mix of the mixups, is absolutely hysterical. I mean LOL LOL LOL funny AF. "Oh, look at my sympathy for the people I like and look how I feel and feel how I look and ignore the facts but know my feelings..... woooooo..... booooo.... hoooooo." Mmmmhmmm. Yeah. Rekt, get it?

So get on with it. Pretend things are different than they are, and make a move. Or deal with the facts, and make a move. Who cares?

In my opinion, the problem is that the conditions for participation require submission to a core ideology and extreme conditions, including your trolling and at least one bully. I have made it clear that these conditions make it unwelcome to participate without using equally extreme tactics or styles. Gad was talking about the so-called trolls being the problem and that their contribution led to additional moderating. I do not see that as the core. That is the symptom, at best.

The rules and culture of this forum encourage your trolling and insults like what was seen earlier in this conversation from Doc, again. Those behaviors are not just allowed, they are rewarded and excused. And that is fine. Shades has clarified that these conditions are within the boundaries he has established.

I, for one, reject the insults and your trolling with language deleted-yous and other methods. Atlanticmike rejects your conditions and insults his own way, and this irritates the everloving hell out of the posters in your club.

So, in summary, the core problem is that you want to create reactions, but also control the reactions that you get. And, you are disappointed that the reactions are sometimes aggressive and sometimes mocking. You want one specific reaction - "bow your head and say thank you, may I have another" - and you are not getting it.

In the end, Shades will give you what you want, or, that is my prediction. I hope he does so with eyes wide open.
