I don't think it particularly helps either that they quickly requested that the (expired) passports be returned, indicating that at least someone Trump-side knew what was in the drawer.Res Ipsa wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 3:48 pmThat and storing classified documents you said you don't have in a desk drawer with your passport.¥akaSteelhead wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 3:06 pmThe part where Trump's legal representation certified in June that he had no more NDI materials, is the part that is really going to bite him the ass.

Nitpick: one passport was not expired. Trump was given a receipt for what was seized, and the passports may have been specifically identified.Doctor Steuss wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 5:12 pmI don't think it particularly helps either that they quickly requested that the (expired) passports be returned, indicating that at least someone Trump-side knew what was in the drawer.

Thank you. I totally misread it. Going back and re-reading it, I have no idea how I did.
Might have jumbled the mention of two official passports as the total number of passports, and done some brain magic with the expired official one, and the expired personal one. Who knows.
But thank you.
Unless he was provided a separate more detailed receipt for property than what was published with the search warrant, the passports don't appear to be mentioned.Trump was given a receipt for what was seized, and the passports may have been specifically identified.

You’re welcome and no problem. There’s lots of information to unpack in the brief.Doctor Steuss wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 5:29 pmThank you. I totally misread it. Going back and re-reading it, I have no idea how I did.

Thanks for the information on the receipt. Good point. There is a more detailed receipt prepared as ordered by the judge, but it’s still under seal.

Oh, so the contents of the search are all public now? How we doing on the nuclear secrets that the anonymous source told CNN were being sold in the treasonous espionage conspiracy? Is that all still on track?
The FBI and DOJ are losing in this game they are playing. They may get Trump this time. They may keep him from running again and they may keep him from winning again and they may lock his ass up. And the price they are paying is very, very, very high. How the DOJ is playing this out is catastrophic. It is almost like they have completely given up on public confidence in favor of some of the public's confidence.

Start with this one.
"I’m still processing the reality our President and/or members of his circle committed either espionage or were so careless with TS-SCI it literally boggles my mind. They knew how this stuff works, how tightly conteolled everything is, so it’s literally a matter of national security to get the DNI, FBI, and the DoJ aligned so we can put some asses in jail. If you guys knew, really knew, how many people we’ve put away for decades for comparatively petty crap you’d really understand just how egregious and serious the feds take this crap. People have to go to jail over this. Otherwise it’s a fuckin’ free-for-all when the benefits of espionage outweigh the risk."

A quotation isn't a "source" as most children out of middle-school know.Binger wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 6:16 pmStart with this one.

Even if it isn't an exact quote, the one above doesn't even say what you think it does.
Seriously Binger. Did you even finish High School?
You're supposed to provide a reference to the "anonymous source" from CNN which said Trump was "selling nuclear secrets." You made the claim, so now back it up.
As it is, the DOJ's response last night was epic. The photo of the documents laid out all over the floor with clear as day markings as high clearance stuff makes it virtually impossible for Team Trump to argue they didn't know what they had. The world deserves an explanation as to why Trump even had these in the first place. But Binger is not interested in transparency when it comes to the guy he voted for.

No. The orphanage only offered K-3 and then we had to go work in the mines.Vēritās wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 6:33 pmA quotation isn't a "source" as most children out of middle-school know.Binger wrote: ↑Wed Aug 31, 2022 6:16 pm

What the hell is even wrong with my source? I thought it was a great source for this espionage conspiracy. I like it. I like it a lot.
