I don't understand why political ads like this one are acceptable, but it's somehow sexist to say that young men are the loniest group of people.

People accuse me of sexism for pointing out the facts. Someone here accused me of sexism for saying that young men, not young people, are the loneliest group.

I am sick and tired of being called a sexist and a troll. I don't care about the fact that society treats women a lot better. There are a lot of government programs to help women, thousands of scholarships for women only, and healthcare programs created to only help women. I honestly don't care about any of that because I am not a men's right's activist, but I point it out because of the double standard people have here in this forum.

The culture in the US is becoming very toxic, there's a lot of toxic masculinity and toxic feminism. It's only sexist when men do it.

Women laughing on national TV about a man having his penis cut off, but we men must be extremely careful with our wording.

I don't make sexists post, the truth is that radical extremists like you tend to be very loud. Most reasonable people would disagree that my posts are sexists.

Thank you for proving my point! Society does have a double standard.

I am not complaining about her, I simply don't understand why her ad was not sexist, but the facts I point out are. It makes no sense in my mind.

I'm fascinated by this go-to strategy of calling something a double standard as though that's a bad thing.

If a black person makes a comment about a white person that a white person couldn't make about a black person, is that a double standard? Well, yeah. The question is, why does that double standard exist? Maybe it has something to do with the power differential going back centuries. Black people don't have a history of oppressing white people in this country, so black people getting a little dig in helps to balance that differential. It's nowhere near enough, but it's something.

If you are in a historically advantaged demographic (white, male, heterosexual), chances are you're going to get criticism from all sides these days, and frankly, you deserve it.

So yeah, women have more leeway culturally to talk about men than men have for women. That what centuries of subservience gets you.

That's what she meant.

No that’s not what she meant, because she clearly did not say it. She quite clearly said “young people.” You continue to demonstrate your sexist attitude.

You converted an article's point about young people to a statement about young men, and when i pointed out your error, yousaid "that's what she meant." there is not a better demonstration that "you continue to demonstrate your sexist attitude" than that.
