I believe it. I have known a few in my time. Had a prof at BYU who believed enlightened monarchy was the best form of gov’t.Dr. Sunstoned wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 3:12 amI think there are more Will Schryver types out there than we know.
There is a reason that your baffled over Trump voters not seeing this. The reason is that what you are seeing is a mirage in your head. Other people (including Trump voters) are not in your head so how could they possibly see this optical illusion in your head?
How do you explain the fact that he said he wants his people to snap to attention the way that Kim Jong Un's people do for him?ceeboo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 12:23 pmThere is a reason that your baffled over Trump voters not seeing this. North Korea? Good God! Talk about fearmongering.
Do you recognize the existence of millions of American citizens that see the opposite of Trump (the current administration) as the danger to America and Americans? I'm not suggesting that as a fact, I am merely asking if you recognize that many Americans see danger as well but said danger coming from a different source.
Yeah! I recognize that it is happening, and I find it absolutely nuts. I don't find them nuts. I find the situation nuts. Trump supporters ignore the many clear indications that he admires, assists, and seeks to emulate authoritarian leaders because they somehow find the status quo more dangerous.ceeboo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 1:24 pmDo you recognize the existence of millions of American citizens that see the opposite of Trump (the current administration) as the danger to America and Americans? I understand that this is how you see it.
As long as the GOP passively supports Putin, our reputation as leader of the free world is imperiled. As long as we work to maintain the freedom of Ukraine and Taiwan, I think our reputation as leader of the free world has real substance behind it. The fact that Trump admires and seems to favor Putin does not inspire confidence. We know that Vance has signaled the desire to reward Putin's imperial invasion of Ukraine.
You are imaging things again. It's impossible to discuss something that's only true in your head. Some Schmo wrote: ↑Fri Jul 19, 2024 3:38 pmI wish the Americans who want this country to be Russia would just move to Russia if they think it's so great.
All these "whiney bastards", as you so maturely suggest, do not want what you are imagining in your head. All these whiney bastards who used to talk about America being the greatest country in the world now want to revert back to other countries' systems they once deemed inferior.
In some respects, the education system is failing us. Why it's failing, however, is something I don't think we would agree on.My biggest takeaway lately is that the American education system is failing us.
Dictator! The GOP thrives on ignorance-based fear.
