An Ardent Trump Supporter who will not be dissuaded

Is that a Trump supporter? Looks like Trump first thing in the morning.

Of course, his supporters are silly enough to cosplay the guy, so maybe.

I can't vouch for the accuracy of this, but it was posted about a year ago on reddit , regarding Trump's working vocabulary:
How Big is Donald Trump's vocabulary? Answer posted on Quora by John Ware -tefl-certified, Business and Operational English Specialist. (self.thebulwark)

How big is Donald Trump's vocabulary?

...I recently used a chatbot program to ascertain his vocabulary based on about 200 speeches and press conferences (among many) he’s had since the release of his first book...

...Based on my readings, the Average American adult can incorporate only about 10K words in their writing and speaking activities.

So, imagine my surprise when my chatbot counted only 1975 words in all these speeches. More amazing (but not surprising) is that his “go-to” words are mostly adverbs and adjectives. Here’s the kicker: the average American 5 year-old uses anywhere between 2200–3500 words when speaking...

I would've put him at 4th grade level male just based on observation. But who knows? The above could be accurate! I think the Shrinking Trump docs said his active vocab has also shrunk from when he was younger. I can't prove that but if you watch any of his older interviews he's far more articulate than he is now.

ETA: Regarding his emotional states and based only on what I can see, I could put him on a developmental assessment for a young 4 and be pretty accurate in doing that.

Most parents would be outraged when their 4-year-old throws a cheeseburger against a White House wall, but no one can discipline the Toddler-in-Chief.

Staff reported that he had two tantrums per day. Reince Priebus the first Chief of Staff was flabbergasted the first time he witnessed one of these tantrums.

Lol, that was kinda the point of my trick that I shared with my friend who is legitimately stressing over her Alzheimer's, but thank you for restating it so casually.

On the other hand, I try not to assume my students will just get what I mean if I don't say what I mean as that seems to add unnecessarily to their stress, but YMMV.
Sorry, Marcus, I should have made it clearer that I was repeating your point. It seemed to fit with my experience even though I don't often notice myself having word-finding difficulties. That's probably because from working in a second language I'm already used to working around them in the way you suggest.

The lecturing thing is a big issue, all right, because you do have to say certain things. You can't just say something a bit different that you know how to say, the way you can in normal conversation where it doesn't actually matter much what we say. Nothing important is lost if I say that the weather is nice instead of saying it's warm, but it's no good saying a series is "nice" if the point is that it converges. It took me about five years before students stopped complaining about my bad German in lectures, and it was more like ten before I felt comfortable with them myself. I just didn't think of these problems as related to cognitive decline on my part. I was struggling to speak precisely in a second language.

Partly I did learn enough technical vocabulary to say the things I needed to say, and I don't have much trouble remembering the terms because I learned them with effort and use them regularly. Partly, too, though, I think I learned to keep my lectures as simple as possible, and not try to say anything fancier than necessary. Hearing a beautifully masterful lecture packed with elegant nuance can be an important part of a university education. It's something everyone should experience even just to learn that it's possible. It's an educational experience that I can't provide—certainly not in German. There's also something to be said for simple lectures that clearly lay out the main points. I can try to do that.

Sigh. Nor did I. Unless I've been in decline for the 30-plus years I've used this trick and am just happily unaware, in which case I am exceedingly grateful I am having such a long ride.

Sheesh, I was just trying to do my close friend and neighbor a solid by comforting her in her terror of her looming Alzheimer's. Providing a practical solution that normalized an element of her experience seemed to help her.

I can't even imagine trying to lecture in a non-native language! Congrats on having mastered that.

Interesting point, thank you! Forgive me for a layperson's take but I can imagine the development issue being related to a narcissistic personality--if you are unable to admit you could evolve for the better, how do you ever grow up?

If you go back a little further he says 250 million people aren't garbage. Seems like the same old exaggeration of numbers. However this link goes right to win Trump shows he can't even manage a truck door, and nearly loses his balance:
