You are right Ceeb, I made a low blow insinuation. Though I don't wear a cape, haven't you seen The Incredibles? Capes are bad business.
If the emperor's new clothes folk tale was instead slightly less than half the population getting taken in and wearing no clothes would that make the child any less correct?
I will say you absolutely put 90 million to try and make your argument look stronger, you also as I pointed out, went from saying 80-90 million to saying 90 million in less than 12 hours in the same thread. There is no logical reason for you to inflate the number other than exaggeration and trying to better support your position.

I'm convinced. Lock him up! Smith and the DOJ had me at allegations. The trial should be bypassed or at least all the so called conspiracy theory laden "evidence" Sir Trumptard wants to bring in his defense should be excluded via a motion in limine. We all know it's nonsense and shouldn't be entertained. He shouldn't have standing to bring such nonsense. Whatever trial is conducted should be limited to punishment because Sir Trumptard is obviously guilty. The hell with due process. We are talking about a real threat to democracy here. Maybe we shouldn't even hold an election? Those Trumptards don't know how to vote and they are obviously hypnotized by Sir Trumptard the charlatan. We need to save democracy just like they did in Ukraine by not having Zelenski face an election back in the spring of this year. I'm sure democracy was saved by denying the vote.
Hey, that felt pretty good.
By the way, would you be in favor of cancelling the election to avoid a Trump victory? How about contesting the election should Trump win?![]()

Just making sure. Sometimes the media fueled rhetoric gets out of hand.Morley wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 4:59 pmIf a Hitler came into power in the US, I certainly wouldn't suggest stepping outside of the constraints of the constitution. I wondering how far he wants to take it. If Hitler was about to come back in power what would you do? Wouldn't suspending the vote make sense to save democracy? Wouldn't massive censorship of those evil Trumptard memes and inane posts be necessary? The 1st amendment is fine as long as "correct" thinking individuals use it in an adult fashion, correct?

I know, I know. Must not push back on the wise, accepted narrative that permeates this part of the discussion board.

What morons say have very little weight in my world.
And, only an utter moron, like you, think that saying 90 million American citizens are blah blah blah is any different than saying 70 million American citizens are blah blah blah. - In either case, that's a LOT of Americans.
And, I don't care why you think I put 90 million (as if an utter moron like you actually practices this thing called thinking) - I already told you why.
Other than writing moronic posts like this, how much of your time do you spend finding racists in the world?you also as I pointed out, went from saying 80-90 million to saying 90 million in less than 12 hours in the same thread. There is no logical reason for you to inflate the number other than exaggeration and trying to better support your position.

Yeah exactly. So what are you doing asking "the two" of us to address cult as it pertains to MAGA? I don't believe I've ever once referred to MAGA as a cult on this board or in real life. Schmo prefers to use that descriptor as a perjorative to describe Trump supporters. I do not. I think there are as many reasons that folks follow Trump as there are folks that do...everyone has a story, everyone has their reasons. That's why I intentionally left off the first 5 words and highlighted the lack of intellectual honest and curiosity to question what they hear that Schmo did say. In that, I agree with Schmo though certainly not every Trump supporter shares that trait, I think perhaps a majority do. I often agree with Schmo and also question what he says sometimes as he does me. You probably don't notice it because there are ways to engage people without insulting them.ceeboo wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 2:25 pmLooking carefully.........Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Thu Oct 03, 2024 2:06 pm
Ceebs look carefully at the part I responded to in Schmo's post. Check that again and get back to me.
Your response included the below quote (you just didn't include the first five words of the sentence, before the comma)
"But if you're stuck in a cult, it's because you lack the intellectual honesty and curiosity to question it."
You didn't mean to, but you insulted me when you posed your questions to "the two" of us. Please don't address me as part of "the two" of anything or three or what have you. I'm an individual with my own positions, reasons for those postiions and quite frankly, it makes me feel resentment towards you when you seem to overlook that fact that you're talking to two very different people.
FYI: I have displayed much contempt for Trump on this board however, I've also displayed deep empathy for him as well because my focus is on both his politics as well as his psychology and what made him the person he is today--emphasizing how his early development was interrupted through no fault of his own, what age and how that may have impacted his personality development.
