The man doesn't have a stable sense of self. He lacks the core that normally developed human beings achieve. He's not self aware enough to know when he's embarrassing himself in public. The only embarrassment he identifies is when someone mocks him and inflicts a narcissistic injury. In that case, his response is spite.

Remember when Obama poked fun of him at that whatever it was...White House Press event? Remember what happened after that?

Yeah now he's throwing a royal fit about everyone who mocks or opposes him and doing his damndest to gaslight the public into thinking the sky is falling and we're two steps away from all out Lord of the Flies.

God help us on election day is all I can say. Hopefully his attempts to stage another event of violence will be even less attended than some of his rallies seem to be now.

While I'm posting right now I want to mention something that I sort of referred to in a previous post about him. I forget how I worded it--brain fogging over here. It was after that nice interview he did with Greg Gutfeld when I formed a picture in my head that seemed more congruent with who I think he really would like to be instead of the performer we see every day.

I picture him sitting ringside at the WWE or actual sporting event eating his hot dogs or Big Mac-ing it in a pair of sweats like a regular guy-guy. I'm serious. I think inside of that fake exterior we see where he's playing a character in public (now taking on the role of President...meeting with Zelensky and all) is just a guy. The guy he could have been before his father tried to replicate himself by twisting his kid into a pretezel to gain his approval.

I think I have more contempt for Fred Trump than I will ever have for his son.

Lately, I've been asking my pro-Trump friend to make an effort to fact-check instead of just believing what they hear on their commute from wingnut radio personalities. They were very offended by this and started asking me everytime what my sources are. Of course, they don't believe PBS, apnews, bbc, Snopes, etc. Any source I have that disagrees with their bizarro support for Trump has to be lying. So, I dig deeper and get original sources, transcripts, etc. Do you think they accept those? Of course not.

I'll report back, but I'm pretty sure that when I tell them that the local 60, Scranton PA chapter of the firefighters union put out a statement that none of those holding signs that said 'scranton firefighters for Trump' were actually Scranton firefighters, they will argue that "THE LOCAL 60 SCRANTON UNION'S OWN STATEMENT WAS A LIE."

And that 'Hillary made them do it,' or some other dog**** level of stupidity.

I am reaching my limit with these idiots.

When I blame ignorance and stupidity for Trump voters, this is what I'm talking about. They're ignorant of what's really happening and too stupid to understand why that's important and seek the truth.

It's never about what's real for Trump voters. It's about what's mentally comfortable.

One would intuit that if you care about the character and morality of your leaders, you would reject Trump (and a lot of religious people have). The thing is, religion encourages people to think magically and uncritically, and to ignore outside influences, so it's really not that surprising so many religious people have fooled themselves into believing Trump is competent when they are motivated to believe it. Healthy skepticism is not in their wheelhouse. Self-delusion is.
