Re: Trump is not a fascist
He could literally be a founding member of MS-13, with ties to a thousand murders. This post hoc search for reasons doesn’t magically make the fact disappear that an existing court order was violated (with no attempt to amend, appeal, or dissolve that existing order), and due process was ignored. For crap's sake, even the two MAGA bribe-riddled justices didn't decent when the case made it to them. A Reagan appointed conservative justice (that had been short-listed for a Supreme Court seat a few times) just reamed the government, and pointed out how incredibly vile this all is.
This is like whenever an unarmed person is murdered by a cop. People in certain spheres will fall all over themselves diving into the person's past for reasons why the person deserved to die, ignoring the fact that cops aren’t supposed to perform extra-judicial executions on un-armed people.
If he’s a garbage human being, that deserves to spend eternity in prison (weird they’d let a terrorist out, dress him up, and give him margaritas just for some photos), then that is something we have established procedures and mechanisms within our immigration courts and criminal courts to determine.
It's not about Garcia, just like it wasn't about Floyd. It's about the breakdown of our systems that are meant to prevent injustice that is what's important. Instead of digging up a gang field sheet created by a drunken prostitute hounding cop in a department with a past of racial profiling issues, and searching for tenuous symbolism, just come out and say that you think the government should be able to willy-nilly decide who doesn't deserve due process. That's ultimately what's being argued in all of this after-the-fact "he once farted in the general direction of an albino paraplegic" court of public opinion push by Trump and his enablers. The reason they are so hell-bent on the court of opinion is because you can't just lie and do whatever you want with impunity in the court of law... at least not yet.
Remember, last time Trump was President, an American citizen was held in an ICE detention center for 3 and a half years. With the current lackadaisy application of due process, and sloppy way Homeland Security documents are being compiled and utilized to justify sending people off to life in a torture prison on American taxpayers' dime, that should cause some serious introspection.
If he's a piece of crap criminal, right-wing talk shows and Truth Social aren't the place where that is meant to be litigated. Especially after the fact.

The response will be to ignore the content, then ask, “What’s your plan??”

Welcome to the new First Premise of MAGA Law and Justice.Jersey Girl wrote: ↑Tue Apr 22, 2025 4:27 amMr. Garcia isn't covered in MS 13 tattoos. He has no criminal convictions in the United States. His status was determined by our court system. He attends annual check ins as required. Mr. Garcia was denied due process. That's all anyone needs to know.

He went through the due process, process, and by two judges because of the collaborating evidences, he was determined to be a ranking member of MS-13, and because of the due process, process, he was given protection, which is basically a stay of executing his deportation. This was put into effect, because of the due process he received. When Trump invoked the EAE, this allowed the government to deport Garcia because of his determined membership with MS-13, by two judges, during the due process, process.
Huck if you want to argue that the Gov did not inform the courts that Garcia would no longer be in danger in his native country, by other gangs, that would be a better and more accurate argument. But as I have been saying the the Supreme Court will hear this, and make a decision from what I have been reading. At this point the court asked the gov to make efforts to bring Garcia back, and the President of El Salvador said no, because Garcia is a gang member, which is illegal to be in Garcia's native country.
The majority of the country, and a growing majority believes the breakdown is that illegal immigration had grown grossly out of control. As I am writing this before I leave for work, in Maryland as I watch the news, another illegal immigrant has just been charged with murder of a Maryland woman. And again in my opinion and millions of Americans, this the real breakdown.
Cakes is correct, my question is that no one will address is "what is the left's solution to first rounding up these gang members and criminal illegal aliens, and then what? Most America's understand that there are deep problems with the system and a huge breakdown.

Yes...there are some very racist people in our country. There are many people here that hate, have your read some of Kish's and Schmos' posts lately? Jersey Girl actually implied she would enjoy having someone pull the plug on Trump. Schmo wrote maybe the most hateful post I have seen on this forum to Ceebo. Hate is hate, and racism vs ideological hate is really no different.
Do you consider the antisemitic demonstrations and violence of the streets and collages racism? I do.
But to your question, if those racists are violent and break the law, prosecute them and lock them up. In turn should we go after the violent antisemite demonstrators?
Gotta run...

Yep. True MAGA is believing and defending whatever Trump says, no matter how stupid, deranged, or evil it is.

Frightening that you don't see shipping off people to an authoritarian hellhole outside of the country to be the dystopian dodge that it is.Markk wrote: ↑Wed Apr 23, 2025 12:26 pmHey Huck,

And, by the way, it is spelled El Salvador.
