I for one look forward to having a candidate that is mentally fit to call out the nonstop flow of Trump's BS. I will be especially glad to see a woman do it, because that will drive Trump insane (because he hates women)

It is completely silent on all of those things. The only thing it suggests is that one of the quarterbacks has a broken arm.

If you were the coach of the team with the broken armed QB, what, if anything, would you do about this quarterback problem? As you consider what you would do, keep in mind that the game is being played very soon and your team has millions of fans.

Yeah, the main problem with this analogy is you think Trump's arm is good to go, which is pure insanity and an obvious denial of reality.

As far as I know, there is no process that says that if a sitting President withdraws from the race, the sitting Vice President takes his place. If Biden stays in the race, there is no process that requires him to pick Harris as a running mate.

I believe the process is this: If Biden withdraws, he releases his delegates. He can ask them to vote for Harris, but they have no obligation to do so.

Because Ohio has refused to give the customary waiver to its ballot deadline, the nominee must be selected before the convention. So, no floor fight unless Democrats choose to concede Ohio in August.

There have been too many black swans for me to make any sort of prediction, but I think Schumer’s call for Biden to step down is the most significant signal yet.

My Harris prediction is not in reference to an established procedure. It is based on the prevalence of her name in the media conversation, the tendency of VP’s to run after the end of their president’s final term, and her connection to the Biden-Harris successes.

I agree with you on Schumer. I think Pelosi and Schiff are also important. Schiff because of his public role pursuing Trump for J6.

Michelle Obama is the only Democrat I can think of that might be able to pull off a win this close to the election, but has said on a few occasions she has no interest in the job. If they're intent on replacing Biden, they should have Michelle be the front woman for the campaign and let her step aside for Harris after inauguration.

And yes, I realize this is pure fantasy.
