One man's opinion.
You're wrong. Jana Riess holds a similar opinion (she’s a woman). As do lots of female members. There’s a reason men now outnumber women in the pews (that’s a statistical fact, not an opinion). Less than 10% of General Conference content was delivered by a woman. Also a fact. How many women are in the Q12, First Presidency, and Presiding Bishopric? None. How many women are in the quorums of the seventy? None. How many women are on Area Presidencies? None. How many women are on Stake Presidencies anywhere in the world? None. That’s not my opinion, those are facts.
There is a reason for that of course. A good one. And you know what it is. Priesthood authority. Although again, as has been said repeatedly, women can exercise priesthood power.
As it is, women...as has been demonstrated/shown...have much influence in the church, in their homes, and in their communities.
If women are struggling in their testimonies of the restoration of the gospel I think it is due to other influences, not primarily the fact that men hold priesthood authority. The roots may go much deeper.
Of course Jana Reiss, yourself, and others can have various and sincere opinions about the matter. That's fine.
As I said earlier, active and believing women in the church with testimonies of Jesus Christ are actively serving and have great influence on others.
